I can't believe I'm just finding this thread. I know I'm certainly not a "prominent" member, hell I lurked this board for two years before I even made an account, but If you want someone to go, either now or down the road, I'd definitely be up for it. Especially now that roo is done with for the year.
No offense to Strum, but I'm getting a little bored and would like to see someone new in the hot seat.
Well then nominate someone, or suggest someone that Strum may appoint. Either way works.
What about you? You have been to every Bonnaroo, and while you sometimes come off as grumpy, you usually add a lot to the conversation, and a voice of reason when necessary. That being said despite your devotion to mastodon, you really surprise me a lot of times with the depth of your musical interests, and knowledge.
In the likely event that I am going to bring down your wrath upon me, please explain to me why Mastodon is the greatest band alive. I heard them at roo 08. And while better than I feared, was not blown away. What is about their music that appeals to you so much?

I guess you do nothing. Unless someone asks you a question. I guess I can start...
If you could take 3 headliners from any past Roo and have them all headline a separate festival (so as to keep the diversity and exploration of Roo alive ) which 3 would you choose, and which days would they play?
^^Is that Starr Hill brew? I didn't have any at Roo but it sounds really familiar, and if it's Starr Hill then I've had it before cause they sell it here in VA
Yes, I believe it was Starr Hill... I keep forgetting a whole bunch of you live a lot closer to Bonnaroo, and therefore its regional breweries. Anyway, I only brought it up because a server told me it has the highest alcohol content of any of the beers were selling. As such, I enjoyed my fair share last weekend.
Either way, my first suggestion would be kdogg. If anything, he seemed to be the most interested in being in the spot. So kdogg, if you wanna take the hot seat go for it. If not, I'll find someone else
Thanks for posting that while I was at work. I managed to ask just enough questions to be a pest, yet not enough to make me the next target - so that's mission accomplished for me. At least this month...
Now that the torch has been passed, a few questions for Jugs...
Who's your favorite Beastie Boy? What's the worst movie you've ever seen? Which canceled TV show would you bring back?
and f*cking Wellington boots (you know, the giant rubber boots that girls were wearing all weekend despite the fact that after Friday there wasn't much mud to speak of?)
My boots were from Target. And I had to wear them even when it did not rain to prevent the Bonnarash I got last year. So don't be quick to judge. It was not a fashion statement on my part. I HATED wearing those hot mother f@ckers. Most of the time I was in sandals and knee socks. Don't think that didn't get some looks.
Now the question. Stupid one but fun. Your last meal? What you gonna have?
3) The easy answer here is Arrested Development, but at least we're getting a movie, and the show had a chance to wrap up. I'm going to go with Deadwood, which (IMO) rivals the Wire as the greatest thing ever produced on television, yet got it's legs cut out from under it and never properly resolved. Deadwood's 1st and 2nd seasons are pretty close to perfect.
keep em coming.
The 3rd season of D'wood might as well have been in Russian, but oh how awesome seasons 1 and 2 were. And yes, The Wire is the best thing to happen to television since as far back as I can remember.
Also, living in Williamsburg, I have to clean out my hipster trap every morning before I go to work and I can't stand that whole fabricated detachment thing. I pretty much turn into Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds whenever I'm around them...
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.

I'd like to say the Seahawks go, but I don't know if that's the fan in me or not (though I think a healthy Hasselbeck, much-improved receiving corps and a healthy O-line, plus the additions of Ken Lucas and Aaron Curry on defense make them a legit contender). If pressed, I think I'd say the Vikings and the Patriots, though that's all dependent on the Vikings getting something out of the QB position. I'd also watch out for the Giants and Eagles.
Does your prediction factor in Brett Favre as a Viking or not? Do you think that would change things one way or another?
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
What was the first album you bought? What was the last thing you ate? What's your favorite Wisconsin microbrew? Who is your favorite president who not pictured on money? Speak any other languages?
