One Sunday evening a year, when I was a kid, The Wizard of Oz would be on. It was a not-to-be-missed event and my Mom made popcorn. (This was long before VCRs/DVDs and microwaves.) I loved that movie. Haven't seen it for a long time and the last time I did they cut out whole scenes. I think it was the flying monkeys and Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, awful. I didn't finish watching it.
So maybe it's my favorite, but more for nostalgia.
Is your appreciation of the film solely as childhood nostalgia?
While I'm at it...
What are your thoughts about Libya? What are your thoughts on Barack Obama? What was the first protest/rally you attended? Favorite Dr. Seuss book? Favorite board game? What is the worst movie you have ever seen? Favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor? Speak any foreign languages?
We have hung out before, I know what part of you is rainbow flavored, some might go as far and say we have slept together, so can you tell me why I would give ^Belgian Manders nightmares?
I went to a party this past weekend at some friend's house. Long story short, candles, 'lighting candles', is an important theme in this relationship I have with these good people. It is one of the strings that ties us together and floating candles, sky lanterns was that symbol this past year at Roo. This past Saturday night, with everyone in the backyard, a red sky lantern floated over the party. Can you tell me why this happened?
You made me literally lol and then smile ear to ear
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
We have hung out before, I know what part of you is rainbow flavored, some might go as far and say we have slept together, so can you tell me why I would give ^Belgian Manders nightmares?

There was one singular, magical red one.. we didn't set it off but SOMEONE knew that we were together
;D ;D It was pretty amazing!!

- Did you feel any of the earthquake today? - What's your favorite month of the year and why? - Can you recommend one album, any artist, any genre, that you love but you think none of us would've otherwise heard? - What's your favorite flavor of jello shot, so I can make some veggie ones next time I know I'll see you?
Sorry I've been MIA, lots of shit going on. I'm headed out of town for the weekend (again!) for Dan's birthday. I'll be back Monday to answer all your burning questions.
Everyone stay safe. Mother Nature has been royally pissed this week.
Masquerade by Terry Pratchett. Nanny Ogg, Granny Weatherwax and a brief appearance by Death and The Death of Rats. Great characters.
Your favorite musical Bonnaroo act/moment?
Hard question. I think it might have been the first time I walked to Centeroo. There was still a huge shakedown street then and it was surreal.
Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
I just returned from the mountains in WV (small ones). And I didn't get to the beach this year, we were going on Friday but Irene fixed that. Toss up? But I never get tired of the mountains.
What was the make/model of your first vehicle?
Sunbeam Alpine convertable! Mine was white. And a total piece of unreliable crap. The clutch leaked like crazy and I had to check the gas using a stick because it didn't have a gauge. I loved that car.
Do you have any siblings?
A sister 8 years older and a brother 11 years older. They were pretty much gone by the time I was 9. (My brother is a giant tea bagger.)
Would you prefer to eat PB&J or a grilled cheese sandwich every day?
Yikes! I'll have to go with peanut butter on wheat, no jelly. I love grilled cheese but not every day.
What would be your dream job?
Burning question for me just now. I have no idea. Sad, I know.
What was the best pet you ever had?
That would be my Bubba. A lop ear mutt of a rabbit with white fur and black/gray splotches. He was a free show and we had him for 8 years. I still miss him a lot.
1. What kind of car do you drive currently, if any?
Driving my daughter's Sentra due to my hooptie's desperate need for a brake job. It's a 1996 Maxima. Still looks good, too. I am going to get a Subaru when I land a job. Maybe. I don't really care about cars as long as they aren't too embarrassing and are super reliable. Which is why I've been driving the same one for so long. Starts every time and has never stranded me in all these years. Just needs brakes. A lot of brakes.
We have hung out before, I know what part of you is rainbow flavored, some might go as far and say we have slept together, so can you tell me why I would give ^Belgian Manders nightmares?
So many reasons! I'll just go with bald.
How many questions are too many?
It's not the quantity of the questions, it's the quality. So, never too many. Unless they make me uncomfortable.
What is my favorite color?
Florida orange?

It was so beautiful!
Why? I don't know. I took it as a sign of affirmation that we were exactly where we should be with exactly the right people.
Love. It was love.
what kind of Bourbon do I drink?
Jim Beam!
If you were to be in the business of selling butt plugs and you have to come up with catchy slogans to get people's attention, what would you use as a slogan idea maker, that could help you advertise and sell the plugs?
Funny, I read these questions before I went out of town but didn't have time to answer. Took a case of Magic Hat #9 with me. Not one of those damn things had a decent quote. Super lame! I did get uber polluted though, so it wasn't all bad.
So Magic Hat bottle caps, unless you buy them at the Parrot in MD.
What baseball team is Quacker a fan of?
Quacker is a total Yankees fan. Not that you could tell by his man cave.
I did not wear shoes all weekend, How many toes do I have?
Er, 10? I am normally observant about feet. Since I don't have any memory whatsoever of yours I'd guess they must look quite normal. Also, I was drunk most of the time.
But that is probably the wrong answer you freak. ;D
1. It's still undecided as my schedule isn't finished through that date, but with Freefest loomin' over the horizon I'm not sure if I should go even if I can get the day off. Money is super tight with my stupid school schedule and my lack of availability to work at my current job. Now the question is should I just bite the bullet and dip into my small pool of savin's and go and have a great time, or be more responsible and not? 2. If you were to describe yourself as an alcoholic beverage, what would it be and why? 3. How's your summer been overall? 4. Your time as BMotM is nearly over, has it been fun? 5. Is this a question? 6. If you were to win a Bonnaroo Total Access Package, how would you decide who would come with you?

Is your appreciation of the film solely as childhood nostalgia?
No, I totally appreciate the story, music, costumes, etc. I just can't sit through the whole thing anymore. I gets antsy.
While I'm at it...
What are your thoughts about Libya?
It's a fucked up place that has been ruled by a corrupt psycho for many years. Thankful I don't live there.
Oh, did you mean our involvement? Yeah, I'm a pacifist, so I have to be against. We could have spent that money on easing the famine in Somalia. Or extending unemployment benefits. Or anything.
What are your thoughts on Barack Obama?
He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. The day after the election The Onion ran the headline "Worlds Worst Job Given to a Black Man".
I don't agree with many of his policy decisions.
He should be pissed off about the way Congress is (not) conducting business.
As an unemployed I'm curious about his forthcoming jobs initiative.
He seems unable to connect with the great unwashed.
I'm a fan.
What was the first protest/rally you attended?
When I was in 9th grade about half the school walked out (walk outs were big back then) and spent the day in the football field smoking corn and cigarettes. It was great fun. Funny, I can't remember now what the demands were. I haven't thought about it in a long time.
Favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Green Eggs and Ham
Favorite board game?
Has to be Monopoly. But I loved Mousetrap when I was a kid.
What is the worst movie you have ever seen?
I've seen a lot of bad movies, so idk. The last Netflix I sent back without finishing was Dinner with Schmucks. Bloody awful.
Favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor?
I don't eat much ice cream at all. I usually just get whatever I'm in the mood for which doesn't happen often. Last B&J I had was actually Bonnaroo Buzz. My all-time favorite flavor is peppermint.
I did. It was pretty creepy. And then traffic was instantly jacked up and I went for beer and sushi with a couple of girls from my outplacement group and watched the cars for a couple of hours. So it wasn't all bad.
- What's your favorite month of the year and why?
June! It's finally warm (here) and the beginning of summer, traffic is better and Bonnaroo. I also love September, it's so beautiful. But it makes me sad because summer is over and I hate the impending cold weather and super short days.
- Can you recommend one album, any artist, any genre, that you love but you think none of us would've otherwise heard?
Ha ha. There's music that Inforoo doesn't know about? Finn Brothers - Finn
- What's your favorite flavor of jello shot, so I can make some veggie ones next time I know I'll see you?

Crap! I just managed to erase all the answers I typed out. I'm going to bed. nite

Well, it IS free, so there's that. And a certain Bunny would has offered to treat for Brunch. So how much would you actually need to spend? A few beers and something to snack on, say $40.00 max? Seems reasonable for the line up. And when is your next chance to go to a show?
2. If you were to describe yourself as an alcoholic beverage, what would it be and why?
An icy cold lager. Because that's usually a large percentage of what's circulating though my bloodstream.
3. How's your summer been overall?
Pretty decent. Lot's of fun to here and there to break up the stress and worry of being one of the unemployed.
4. Your time as BMotM is nearly over, has it been fun?
It has been fun. Also hard. I don't normally say anything of value or put forth an opinion. My disposition is to naturally keep a low profile.
5. Is this a question?
Yes. And that is an answer.
6. If you were to win a Bonnaroo Total Access Package, how would you decide who would come with you?
The first criteria would have to be the means to afford a share of the taxes and the willingness to pay up. That should narrow down the list somewhat.
After that? Well, of course my Dan would go, which would leave 6 spots. I know a lot more that 6 people I get along with really well and would love to have with me for such an awesome experience. Maybe a contest? Or draw names from a hat? Or an Inforoo poll? This is a problem that I would love to have to solve.
Aww... no appreciation for the capitalist allegories within?
Hmmm, no? I totally remember the druq allegories, guess I do need to sit down and watch it again. Or read novel. Sorry to disappoint.
My, did this month fly by. I didn't realize we were at the end of it already. A couple questions I make sure to ask I haven't yet gotten to: If I were to knock at your door right now and ask for an alcoholic beverage, what would be my options?
1. A Yuengling or an assortment of canned beers left over from roo
2. A glass of white wine
3. Add some fabulous Creme de Cassis brought back from France and make it a Kir
4. Rum and club soda
5. Kahlua and coffee
6. 1 airplane bottle of Skyy or Grand Marnier
7. A glass of crappy Sherry (normally used for cooking, but it's drinkable in a pinch)
8. Some Pimm's or Creme de Framboises.
Haven't been to the store in a while, so I don't have any mixers other than the club soda.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Another super hard question. So many words of wisdom over the years.
At the moment one that sticks out is don't carry a balance on your credit cards. I'm not known to routinely follow good advice, but I'm really good with my finances. No credit card debt, yay.
Where are you going to school? What's your concentration? When will you graduate? How old were you when you found out your pancreas was shitty? Did you move to Reston? Where is the Melting Pot? How did you meet Jury? When will you know for sure if you're going to Virgin Fest?
Where are you going to school? What's your concentration? When will you graduate?
I'm currently enrolled at the Omega Studios School of Applied Arts and Sciences in their comprehensive program. So my "concentration" if you will, is in audio engineerin', but the skills I am learnin' could lead me to several different jobs dependin' on how I choose to apply my skills. As of now I will graduate in mid/late April so long as I can keep up with the class load, there are no delays due to weather or issues with the studio itself, and I can continue to pay fer it.
How old were you when you found out your pancreas was poopy?
I was officially diagnosed on 4.July.2001. Although I knew somethin' was wrong with me weeks, maybe even months beforehand. I just hate goin' to the doctor so I waited longer than I should've. Apparently I was very close to a diabetic coma with a blood sugar level over 600. The average is roughly 80-120, or in the upper 100s/low 200s if you've just eaten.
The location I work it is in Reston, close to Reston Town Center in Plaza America. We recently moved from our previous location near Wiehle and Sunrise.
Hoo boy. Well, technically he is my oldest friend. We officially met when I moved to Reston and was in the Cub Scouts. We were in the same troop and I actually went on my first campin' trip with him. I remember it well as his dad's BMW broke down on the way to the camp site. Then we had to borrow a tent from the Scoutmaster's family and it was leaky as hell. It rained a lot that night and I remember bein' soakin' wet and not sleepin' much. I believe he left the Scouts soon after. Then a few years later we were in the same middle school with a mutual best friend. Sittin' around the lunch table we were plagued by the thought that we knew each other from somewhere. Cub Scouts came up and we've maintained our friendship through thick 'n' thin ever since.

Has the "g" key been replaced by the apostrophe key on your keyboard, or do you like your typing to be more representative of how you speak? If it's the latter, I think it'd be more interesting if more people typed like that.

Nope, all my keys function. I generally try and type how I speak. You may also notice I constantly misspell the word "for" with "fer" as that pronunciation is awkward fer my mouth and that's just how I say it. Unless I am usin' the number four.
Originally I had one of my best friends tell me back when I was like 5 or 6. I don't think I disbelieved in Ol' St. Nick until around the age of 8-10 though, and then finally when I was in my tweens my parents told me. My reply to them was probably along the lines of "Duh!"
