I think it was about two years ago. My buddy Zack wanted to do the "Eagllleee!" from Scrubs and I let him hop on my back. We'd had way too much to drink at the bar and after a few steps we both crashed epically to the pavement.
What kind of beer do you have in your fridge right now?
Because my ma's roommate is batshit insane and a real Catch You Next Tuesday I can't store any beer in the fridge. Thankfully keepin' it in a dark place in the basement keeps it below room temperature. Just barely.
What was the first album you purchased? How many states have you visited? Have you ever been out of the country? Do you speak any foreign languages? In which extracurricular activities were you involved aside from scouts? Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played a girl bunny? Which video games have taken up the most hours of your life? Who is your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Who is your favorite comedian? What is your favorite curse word?
That's the game board. So there are several new territories to concur in the oceans and on the moon. There are special units called commanders that have special abilities includin' 8-sided dice fer attackin' and defendin', commander cards with special commands and unit bonuses. Dependin' on the rules you play by, the game can only last five turns (which can thankfully limit a game to 3-5 hours instead of a whole day), nuclear wasteland territories (which would be chosen at random) that can hugely affect strategies. It's fun as hell, but it's been probably some 2-3 years since I've played.
Without havin' my CDs available to look at in front of me at this time I'm gonna go with the first piece of music that was mine. It was the 7" vinyl single of George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set On You." I listened to that poop on the regs when I was five.
I speak broken kitchen Spanish. I imagine if I was dropped off in Germany my three years of classes might come back to me a bit. As it is I could at least say that I'm as hungry as a bear.
In which extracurricular activities were you involved aside from scouts?
Played one season of soccer when I was 5-ish. Baseball from age 7-12 maybe 13 (wish I had kept up with that). Then I was involved in my high schools Army JROTC teams: Drill, Honor Guard, Color Guard, and Raider fer four years.
Which video games have taken up the most hours of your life?
Final Fantasy VI (originally released on the SNES as FFIII) and it's still one of my favorite games today. Master Of Orion, Chrono Trigger, Wild ARMs. A good deal of time spent on the way old Megaman's and Super Mario Bros. as I could never beat those.
Who is your celebrity crush? (You can name more than one)
Females: Jena Malone, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are the first that come to mind. I know there's one or two others, but can't think of 'em now. Males: John Cusack, and Bradley Cooper.
What's your go-to song/artist/album to listen to when you're having a bad day?
Kinda depends on whether I want to feel better or I just want to vent. If I wanna feel happier I'll put on some Talking Heads. If I wanna just be angry and let it all out I blast some 36 Crazyfists.
Well, because I've been pretty poor the last few years I've worn the same costume that I really liked at first, but now I'm tired of it. It's the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail.
The best vacation you've ever taken (besides Roo)?
Stayin' at the Outer Banks fer a week right after my first 'Roo. Got to spend some time with a bunch of old friends and it was a great way to relax and wind down after the intensity of that first 'Roo.
What groups/bands/musicians are on your "bucket list"?
That's a toughie. While there are plenty of older artists I have some interest in seein', I do not have an interest in payin' fer a super expensive ticket to see them. Plus most are past their prime. And with newer artists...well I've seen most of my favorites already. I think. Damn I wish my CDs weren't in boxes so I could scan through them and answer this better!
What was the first song/album that made you realize the power of music and therefore changed your life?
Jeez, a day of hard questions from you! I've loved music ever since I can remember. Just absolutely loved it. But I'll pick Incubus' S.C.I.E.N.C.E. as the album that really started my obsession with music. After that it just seemed like I accumulated more, and more, and more CDs and other formats of music. It was the perfect album fer my teenage self. I had never heard anythin' quite like it.
Do you generally (besides Moulin Rouge) like musicals? If so, which is your favorite? Favorite show tune?
Not that I particularly have anythin' against musicals (unless it's Moulin Rouge or The Sound Of Music), but I don't care much fer them at the same time.
However I was lucky enough to see Spamalot on Broadway back in 2005 and I had the time of my life! And the Scrubs musical episode is easily a favorite as well! Methinks it's the comedic aspect of them that brings me in.
No particular album, unless I were to pick up some 80s/90s mix of X-Mas rock tunes (specifically any compilation that would have The Waitresses "Merry Christmas").
Almost a year ago when I found out one of my best friends Jenn was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Her progress has been amazin' though and she only has 3-4 more chemo treatments to go!
What do you have against The Sound of Music?? (I mean, c'mon, Julie Andrews is a babe)
Never had the hots fer her. Not even as far back as Merry Poppins. But I think my dislike stems from a cousin of mine constantly singin' those songs. And very badly I might add. Add to that that I couldn't stand him, and I just haven't been able to stand it.
