What did you major in and what did it do to take to get where you are now? I just got done with my freshman year as a poly sci major who wants to work in politics, so I'd love to here as much about the process as you want to tell me.
I'm going to assume you're talking about the lawyer in the bunch - Edwards.
As for Holy Diver... you can ask any number of people that question and not get the same answer twice.
Not Edwards. And for certain positions within political campaigns, you're always asked to sign non-disclosure agreements. Part of it is to protect strategy secrets (the outfit I was with was known for very advanced voter awareness strategies - many of our top people ended up basically running Obama's field campaign), and part of it is to protect the organization itself, because occasionally you do some things that wouldn't look good in the public light.
I'm not so far down the path as Jugs here is, but I'm going to second everything he said about the early stages.
I have my regrets about only majoring in Poli Sci. I'm not necessarily saying don't take it, but don't rely exclusively on it. Being an intern or volunteer is at least as educational as taking a class.
