Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So we get to see a sneak peek at the tickets before they ever even get here, and right out of the gate I have to say I'm not stoked at anything that asks me to punch out my ticket, but be careful not to rip it else risk not being offered admittance to the show! ??? What does everybody think of this year's ticket??? Are you gonna set it up, or just wait patiently for the show?
I am not doing anything to my ticket - actually - I am extremely disappointed that they did this - part of the fun and anticipation has always been wondering what the tickets look like and seeing who is the firs to post a picture here and then actually getting them in my own hands when I get home from work.

Personally....I don't see much of a difference in seeing who is the first to post a picture of the ticket and seeing who is the first to post a video of the ticket.
the only difference being it's not an inforoo member's ticket.
also meg - don't be sad......you know as well as I do that there will be a "got my ticket" thread with everyone posting their pics when they get them lol.
totally not touching it for setup till i get close to the gate.
this. i want to pop mine out and set it up.......but why should i? I'm just going to keep it flat and safely tucked away in a folder until I need it. knowing me - i'd screw it up somehow.

while most of us are disappointed........just think that the people in charge of Roo went out of their way to try and make a unique and memorable festival ticket. Sure they could have printed it on a flat piece of cardboard or just a regular ticket or something......but they took a risk and tried to be innovative.
Most of us would agree that it's a cool idea and definitely something different......but they failed in execution (risking a Voided ticket just to let it stand on your table?). I think it's really cool that they tried this. Sometimes you have to learn from your mistakes and you need to take risks...........this time they didn't get a huge victory......but they are trying to make us happy.
All it says is "What is better than a ticket to Bonnaroo? How about a ticket to Bonnaroo that is also a piece of 3-D art! Your tickets will be arriving in the next couple of weeks and to get you even more excited we have created this video to show you how to build your Bonnaroo Ticket Sculpture. It is so easy a monkey could do it!
Be careful not rip the stub from the bottom of the ticket because that will nullify the ticket. "
I doubt folding it is mandatory. And even if it is......i'm not folding it until i'm on line and im going in soon.
Hmm... I'll hold my judgement until I have it my hands. But, I'd rather they have stuck to something 2-D; a ticket that still looks cool when framed.
If you watch the video slowly or freeze frame it right before the gorilla folds it........it looks like it's still designed to be 2d (the part you fold back still has a bonnaroo logo on it that is visible when flat). It looks like it has the ability to be 2d or if you want 3d. I'm sure you will still be able to frame it and it will look fine.

Yes to trying something different. But a big No to what they did. It is cheesy and could void your ticket if you mess up. And the gorilla video is weak too. But hey...I really dont care as long as it gets to my house in one piece.
Just because it is different doesnt make it a good idea.
Mandatory folding is highly unlikely. Even if it is, most people won't do it and the ticket takers at the gate would have to (and if they tear it and try to void it I see a riot).
Either way, as I said, I ain't folding nothing. The guy at the gate can if he wants to take the time and the responsibility.
All in all, I think it's an okay idea. Something a little different. And the ticket colors look okay.

True........but judging this ticket design based solely on a video and none of us actually having one in our hands is a little unfair of us. For all we know it could be really hard to rip/void the ticket and they include that warning just so they can say "we warned you to be careful".
but like many have stated..........this is a tiny issue. just the fact that I know tix have shipped has me getting excited

i noticed the update said that we would have our tickets in a couple weeks. I remember very clearly paying an extra $12 usd to have my sent 2 day air sig required, i hope this is just a misquote. I can't imagine anything taking a couple of weeks if it shipped today.
who cares!?!? its a damn ticket! it's really awesome that they do anything cool with it at all. I think the design itself is pretty cool and it's not like they're saying in the process of folding it you will accidentally rip it into two by the nature of the ticket design, just that you shouldn't be dumb and rip the clearly designated stub off

I just got to thinking..........do you think there's any connection to the 3D phish show rumor and these 3D tickets? Perhaps the reasoning for 3d tix are because of a 3d night show........hmmmmmmmmmm

Yea....I remember paying my money up front to get a bonnaroo 2008 dvd right away but ended up getting it way after other people who paid later. Who knows what goes on at superfly lol

i'm just concerned because my wife and I are leaving for Wakarusa on the 3rd (next wednesday). I'm not to worried about it though, everything worked out in 2006
