I caved. I got a PO Box and less to worry about after my address changes this month. Excited doesn't cover it. There were only 420 made and sold out instantly.
It was the right thing to do. Congrats.
Seriously I was usually too afraid to order internationally pre-pandemic, respect for going for it. I think my only international order through Discogs was an original pressing of Cocteau Twin's Victorialand. Worth it for sure.
Scored some colored pressings of Boy Harsher's Careful & Country Girl Uncut last week on Bandcamp's special Friday last week...Also managed to snag a Pink Pressing of Mannequin Pussy's Patience, so was a good day for all!
And I ordered Sault's two fantastic albums - "5" and "7"...Standard black vinyl pressings (which I think are the only ones made)... I didn't even know they had dropped 7 last fall, guess I was hiding under a rock at that time haha
I love Papa Jazz here in Columbia... I didn’t make it over to the store a couple weeks ago (I let them know) because I had to go to my niece’s graduation. But I finally made it over for a curb side pick up. I asked if they had any post punk, dance, or industrial records come in... I got a VG+ Skinny Puppy “Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse” original US pressing for $15. I am fucking elated.
My family and I bought a new house this past week. I mean there was the issues of better schools, more space, a fence for the dog, bigger kitchen, yadda yadda but I was adamant in needing a dedicated space for my entire collection. I finally FINALLY got that. A huge empty room that will house everything I've gotten over the past 30 or so years.
I'm now making plans to get everything from storage and getting it here. Im so stoked that my other babies will all be together again.

Take a collection picture once you get them all together.

Once I get everything alphabetized and in the right spots. We have the home inspection there tomorrow so I'll be taking measurements for cabinets and placing it all out.
I'll definitely be posting after that noise.
E: I post vinyl photos on my IG. It's all metal, jazz, and weird though. I'm sure the record room will get love, too.

Also just re-joined Vinyl Me Please since the record this month is White Stripes - De Stijl and I somehow haven't had that one in my collection even though I have almost everything else related to Jack White. This one looks neat and I think it comes with a lyric book or some junk. It's going to pair well with the De Stijl accompaniment album that Third Man Records is releasing through the Vault.
Only annoying thing is how VMP advertises $25 a month (for 3 months) but when I go to sign up I can only do the 3 months for $81 (so $27 a month). Minor nitpick but couldn't figure out how to get it at $25. Even if I tried signing up like I was brand new it didn't work.

Email them and point out the discrepancy. They may refund you. Otherwise it might be an offer just for new subscribers.

I'm not going to get too worked up about it. It's only a few bucks but was slightly annoyed to think I was getting a deal and then not getting it.
I thought it might be "just for new subscribers" but if you go to the "Join the club" page it says it at the top with nothing about new members but if you click to sign up it shows the higher price. Oh well.
Excited to (eventually....as everything is delayed) get this White Stripes album on vinyl.

They got me a few months ago with that Stooges John Cale mix. I scored Belladonna, too.
I've still got a few months on tap and was wondering if people have traded releases out if they're not interested in that month at all. Like I'm not interested in De Stijl but really want that Thelonius Monk they're pressing in September. Could I switch it out or should I just pony up the $35?

I forget how the switch works but I did don't once a year or so ago. I think it was only former record of the months to choose from and maybe not everything was in stock? Can't recall completely
The Social Network OST will be available on vinyl for the first time in a long time soon. I'd post a link but I can't find it. Pretty sure I saw that somewhere, though.

My Bandcamp buys the past two months. Got 20+ more coming...
Enjoy the rescue dog cameo.
looks great! i have a few bunker LPs, i like the aesthetic of their vinyl.
trying not to buy too many vinyl without selling some though, my storage is already maxed out and it's hard to find a record on the shelves as it is. however i do want to take advantage of buying the bunker's whole digital discography for 50% off thing, just waiting for a fee-less Friday when it's in the budget. maybe next month.
Damn, Rough Trade cancelled all Social Network orders. They did say they'll have it properly in stock later this year, though.
I've seen a few pre-orders that got published a bit too soon. Everyone is playing catch up, it seems. It probably got listed before the label found out how long before the vinyl was actually pressed.
I pre-ordered the Mercyful Fate reissues for May to have it be pushed back to late June. I just got an email that says July now.
5 LP VU box. It includes all the Verve/MCA records, 1969 (which they never finished), and Nico's Chelsea Girl (which was basically a VU record anyways), a few posters and a peel off banana sticker for VU + Nico.
Really proud of my wife picking this out on her own. While I have 4 of 5, I have none in Mono. She did her homework.
