The dusty pink vinyl/plaid duster cover was 2nd choice
lol i'm dumb and thought it was just the colors. I didn't even look at the covers. I like the one you got, the 2nd choice, and also the "running like water" one.

yeah all different covers and slips which are viewable, and then different labels which are teased but not shown outright, pretty cool and collector-y of her.
Spotify has some video stuff. Have it on my phone and while Cardigan is playing it's just an endless repeating gif of her pulling a cardigan on. neat
I hate the Spotify gif video things, mostly I think because you can't really use them outside of the app so it's just a five minute gif loop you can't share and spend 20 seconds seeing the whole thing. Parquet courts and Solange had cool ones though lol

Yeah, I have seen some versions of it before but most of the time i'm listening to spotify on my computer or not actively looking at it.
I like it so far. I'm almost done with the Bon Iver song and i'm into it so I'll probably purchase. Now to decide which one quickly. Did not expect to want a Taylor Swift album this week but hey...here we are.
Henry Rollins unboxing the 15xLP (!) Fun House 50th Anny reissue. One of the 1,970 box sets can be yours for just 400 dollars. 2 LPs at 45rpm for the album itself, two versions of the Down On the Street/I Feel Alright 7", a live album recorded in August 1970, and every single take from the recording sessions.
Debating blowing my money on a few Frank Wright free jazz classics but can't decide if I want a VG copy from the Seventies or a NM copy of the repress. The repress would be worth more in the long run than a VG copy but it's an original.
since we are talking about the taylor swift album in here: i really dug the Bon Iver guest track. beyond that it isn't a bad record by any means, but musically it started getting pretty samey pretty quick. having said that i generally have a bias against sleepy time calm music so i'm probably not the best judge. i am interested enough to give it another listen later though.

I agree. I’m not a huge fan of her voice or the melodies that she chose, especially when she’s right next to Bon Iver on a song who conveys emotion in a much rawer form. I also do think that her lyrics are a bit silly sometimes

I agree with a lot of this. Taylor's lyrics really aren't meant for me but that is what it is. I think this record starts to run together a bit in the middle and would benefit from being a few tracks shorter. That being said, Last Great American Dynasty and Exile are bops. Gonna look at the vinyl options later.

lol I just listened to the vinyl of Jon Benjamin - Jazz Daredevil (well I should have learned to play piano) and the last song is a shift into some random rap song about anal sex hahahaha. In the liners he says this is his attempt at a love song.
VMP august selections are out. i never heard of the hip-hop release, did my swap to BVSC. actually just changed my track to essentials since spiritualized is next.
also added El-P to my order. good album and that red vinyl looks awesome.

I'm trying to decide whether to keep or swap BVSC. I recognize it as a classic but i'm not familiar with it at all and not sure how much play it will get. Decisions decisions.

swapped with Rick Ross. No regrets. It was all about getting the spiritualized record anyeay
How do they sound? My collection could use some Neu 75, Isi and Hero are jams.
75 is one of my favorite records ever and Hero is my favorite song from that. Whenever someone asks me about what punk rock kids in the 70's listen to before there was punk, I play this.
They're all comfortable and warm. It's making my homesick a little better to have these to turn to.
This weekend I have a U-Haul lined up to get my vinyl outta storage in one city. Pretty stoked on that.
My vote goes for BVSC. It's not gonna blow you away but at the time it was a big deal and Ry Cooder is the fucking MAN.

i find non-popular music genres like world music, jazz, or classical can be good palette cleansers when i'm burnt out on everything else. helps set my musical head back on straight, so it's nice to have some classics of those genres around to throw on.
but also as a general rule if i don't think i'll listen to something, i certainly don't want to own it on vinyl. have you listened to BVSC on spotify?
