Well it is lot easier for me to find stuff to do earlier in the day. After a Phish show,I need either more music or a chill place to go for awhile. I am damn well not gonna be sleeping.
- All rumors point to Coachella followed by Vegas at the Sam Boyd stadium (locale of former Vegoose festy).
- The 3 blacked out states help to make a jack o lantern face, as others have suggested.
- The TX festy rumor was debunked a while back. A local TX news station even had a clip about it.
- Except for 12/31 Big Cypress, all other Phish festies have ended sometime before 1am, if my memory serves me right. And since it'll be late October (i.e., dark sooner) there will be plenty of time to rage with Kuroda's lights before midnight. And maybe on Halloween they'll pay the $1000/minute curfew fine.
-Only at the Oswego festy (summer 99) was there another band, Ozomatli, who played on a smaller stage, as well as some DJs. Also, I do recall an orchestra performing on the main stage (Clifford Ball, Oswego? -can't remember).
Amazing: Phish, Bruce, Amadou & Mariam, Vieux Farke Toure, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Wilco, NIN Good to great: Animal Collective, NIN, Jimmy Buffet, King Sunny Ade, Tobacco, MGMT, Passion Pit, Kraak & Smack Glad to have seen: Oakenfold, Grizzly Bear, Beastie Boys, of Montreal, Snoop Dogg

So what are these rumors about the Coachella grounds saying? I really hope it isn't true but you guys seem pretty sure. I was thinking I remembered hearing Trey and Mike bought a lot of stock in the farm recently.... That's wishful thinking but I hope it's somewhere semi-close to the South, and that would also fill the 'late summer southern leg' I've been hearing about for a while.

Man PT is on this, they foundsome saved files on the page it is possible that it will be in NM, or it is possible that the alien was going home to area 51, so who knows. I would prefer a NM festival to Cali but that is just me.
PT is crazy. they got some individuals on that board.
They said that the highlighted states (one being TN) before he lands in NM mean they are out of the running.. i dont know about that. Why would they only light up three states rather than just blacking out all of them if their just going to give away the location??
This is crazy stuff. Really wish i knew wtf is going on

I'm hoping its some place where they can play later (and if I remember Coventry correctly, didn't they start pretty early?), at least on Halloween night. Daylight Savings Time ends that night (actually November 1) so we "fall back" at 2 am, and it becomes 1 am again. So even if they had a 2 o'clock curfew, they could still squeeze in an extra hour that night!

Trick or Treat -anything goes for Phish 3.0!
they also blacked out new hampshire, so i dont think the jackolantern face thing is true!
Aww man, why've they gotta be hating on New Hampshire? They're just jealous because it's better than Vermont.
Also, someone needs to give Phish a geography lesson. Last I checked, New York extends all the way up to Canada, Massachusetts does not border Maine, and Rhode Island is nowhere near as big as Arkansas.
Im very happy to hear about this. Im going to try my best to make it out to cali even though its going to be very expensive to do. I just hope that they open up a lot more space for camping then they do for Coachella because from what ive heard the camping area for Coachella isnt very big, definitely not big enough for 60k+ people.
^ i really really really hope indio is NOT the location. I know all signs (including Oklahoma) point that way but i will keep my fingers crossed for Big Cypress or anywhere in the southeast.
^I have a feeling the southeast is out after Bonnaroo. I am hoping for anywhere other than Indio though, I have a feeling that will not be my favorite place to go to a festival.
I really believe we can say with 100% certainty that this will not be held on the farm in Manchester. I mean, they just played there.... twice! There'd be no reason for them to come back and play there again for an entire weekend. That would mean TN would be getting three shows and a PHestival, which is just way too much for one state.
I'm holding out hope for a New Years gig at Big Cyprus
It's at Coachella.
Everything I'm hearing about New Years' Eve is saying Miami.
Miami for new years huh.... well that may just work out. I was planning on going to see my family in tampa around christmas maybe I could just push that back a little. hehe

agreed. I don't think they should use another festival's spot. I wish they find somewhere new and fresh to party down.
edit:: but in the end in doesn't flippin' matter. I'm there.
i will NOT be if there are two nights in cinci as well as NYE in Miami. I prob wont be even if its just NYE. I just hate that location and it would be too much $. And Phuck all of the Coachella ridiculous communist ways
I really REALLY would hate not being at a three day festival tho. dammit.

I wonder if there's gonna be a ticket cap on this thing, and if so what would it be? People and phans have been waiting for this sort of thing for years... it could be huge!
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
