College is no excuse.....I never had more free time in my entire life than when i was in college. My time was spent watching the clock, waiting for a socially acceptable time to start drinking.

I've started school which means more time for mafia haha. And jen it's fine I said all along that I understood why I looked guilty. I was just too thick to see that your were inspector because I had other thoughts in my head.
College is no excuse.....I never had more free time in my entire life than when i was in college. My time was spent watching the clock, waiting for a socially acceptable time to start drinking.

Yeah, I was going to say that. I don't really consider myself "in college" anymore in the undergrad party all week sense. I work full-time and take grad classes in the late afternoon & evenings. Luckily, I can play Mafia at work.....and do my school assignments at work too.

School starts back for me this week and I am also starting a new job in the campus bookstore. Tomorrow is my last day of freedom.

I don't know...I was not picking through 2 pages people bitching about rules to see who was playing so, I started fresh. Strum is encouraged to play, especailly since i wont need to defend my self from him 1000x.
Also, speaking of rules, the following rule will be in place:
Non-players are forbidden from talking about: opinions/strategies in the game at hand, general mafia startegy/opinions, and results/opinions/strategies used in past games. Non-players at no time will quote the current thread or any previous mafia thread.

Nope, I'm not playing this round. Just got a job full time where I won't have access to Inforoo until the evenings and don't usually make it to a computer until the night hours. Not to mention I'm still holding true to the strumdiddley rule or bust motto, and that most certainly ended in a bust.
And Roo, you only defended yourself against me once out of 1000x... and even that was a bit on the pathetic side as far as defense goes
I considered it, but my life has also been a bit hectic the past few weeks. I don't think I could bring my A game under the circumstances, so I'm leaning against it.
And even though I'm against codifying Strum's suggestion into a hard-and-set rule, I wouldn't mind seeing the players make some sort of informal non-binding agreement about what Strum's trying to make a rule against.
I considered it, but my life has also been a bit hectic the past few weeks. I don't think I could bring my A game under the circumstances, so I'm leaning against it.

kdogg, if what you have been bringing is your "a game" i would hate to see your b or c game.
congratulations. you managed to use a word, that i dont know what it means. does meant to turn into a fish?
finally, if temporarily allowing strum's rule will get people to play, i will put it in play
I will play, but I'm not going to be around much through Sunday/Monday.
Going to Chicago tomorrow for a weekend of NIN, Sunday is the fantasy football draft, then I'm going to see the Dandy Warhols on Monday. I figure it's early enough in the game that it won't make a big difference.

I'm really not sure I could swing this game anyways. My new job keeps me away from Inforoo for most of the weekdays until night time, and labor day weekend I'll be out of town all from Fri-Mon so I won't be around then either, which I expect the game may run into that.
I'm probably best sitting this one out, but if you really struggle to fill this last spot I guess I could man up and do it... but look elsewhere first
...and for the record, I'm fine with my suggestion not being called a rule but rather an unspoken agreement to abide by
