my comments may be contradictory, but I'll explain that after the game ends...
knowing that strum isnt a fan of people claiming to be tha inspector...real or not...during gameplay(because at best its a cheap ploy and at worst takes tha fun outta tha game), this statement seems to indicate that...for one reason or another...he thought...or possably knew...that i was a townie but he did'nt want to outright confirm it until later! then...like swampy pointed out....he was promptly offed during tha night! which cleared tha way for a mafia imposter to step in and pretend to be tha inspector without tha real...now dead...one being able to refute it!
that's my take on it anyway! to reiterate once again...if bacon says he knows tha im mafia...HE IS NOT THA INSPECTOR!

Oh wow, I shouldn't post replies before I've caught up with the thread.
I'll say this about Bacon being inspector: I am innocent, so he has that part right, at least. I know that's not going to convince anybody else, but since I know I'm innocent, I'm going to tentatively believe he's the inspector.
I originally thought Roo was the inspector -- I thought that's why he had voted so strangely in round 1, but since I thought he was inspector, I didn't want to call attention to his strange vote and make mafia suspicious of him (everybody was focused on Jack's weird voting at the time, so I thought I'd let that attention stay there in case Roo was inspector).
So then in round 2, I waited around to see what Roo would do. If his vote made sense, I was going with whatever he did. But then I waited, and waited, and finally I got tired of waiting -- I wanted to hear him try to get people to vote for someone -- so I put in him a runoff situation, hoping he would come to his own defense and in the process let us know who we should vote for.
When he just said "bacon," I started to think I was wrong about Roo being inspector. So then I asked him to defend his round 1 vote, and he didn't even try. I now was sure he wasn't inspector. But then I wondered what his weird voting in round 1 was all about if he wasn't inspector. So I started to look into it, and you've all seen the theory that came out of that thread of thought.
For now, I think my theory was right, and I think Bacon is telling the truth.

This makes a lot of sense to me, although I never thought Roo was inspector like you did, NTRT. I actually thought his behavior in round one made him look guilty from the beginning. I think your theory is pretty solid but I'm not 100% sure on SW's guilt. The Sal/Jack runoff was a tough one for me and I think we've kept him alive too long. After the round one run-off I think he kind of slipped through the cracks in round 2. I'm not sure how convinced I am that Bacon is inspector but NTRT's theory seems to be a good one to follow right now.

This part is specifically for Sal: There is no way he could know for sure that you were a townie. IF he was the inspector he would only know for certain the mafia name he was given at the beginning. If that was Jack's name....or he was even fasely hinting that it was Jack's name that still doesn't mean you were innocent. He said he was 100% comfortable with you saving you for the moment but that even doesn't mean he knew you were innocent....it just meant that he thought there were bigger fish to fry right then and there and it wasn't you.

I can't put words in Strum's mouth but I know he is against coming out as inspector that early on and If he was inspector he would go for hints rather than outright saying it. I also think he plays this game cleverly and if he was a townie he quite possibly could have been using this comment about setting himself up as the inspector in order to preserve the real inspector's identity. He may have been shooting himself in the foot by getting himself killed too soon but in any case it made a lot of people think he was the inspector, right? Of course this is just a wild theory but I would not put it past Strum to attempt a move like that.

The last thing I wrote isn't coming out right becasue I can't get it to quote the passage I am referring to. Yeah I couldn't rememeber exactly what you said but I knew you were asking Sal why he thought Strum was inspector. I just figured I would specifically include you since you were curious what her reasoning was and why Sal agreed with her.

okay then...since kdoggs leaving this open for a while ill give it 1 more try! this is directed at jen, wolf and higgi! since at this point wolf and higgis votes are pretty well wastd so i have a proposition for you...if you will change your votes to bacon, i will gladly volunteer to die next round! i offer this as a townie who knows his days are numbereed but still wants to see tha remaining innocents get a clearer advantage against the mafia after i die! as for jen...im sorry you seem to have fallen for bacon and ntrts bs but its not tooo late to change things!what i propose is really just a good faith move that i believe will leave only 1 badguy (ntrt) left for yyou guys to deal wit hhowever you choose! then youll have an easy, thought free vote next round as i will gladly step aside for the good of the townsfolk! think about it...what do you have to lose? that is unless you believ this hokum about bacon bein tha inspector...which I PROMISE he is NOT!
if you decline...its cool (like i said...ill be dying soon anyway) but if not, you will leave tha mafia rather damaged and at a significant disadvantage! this could be a turning point intha game...its up to you guys to decide which way it turns!

Sorry Sal, I'm going to keep my vote as it is. It really did sound like a last ditch effort in a sticky situation.
it was a last ditch effort...i think i made that claer! it was my last attempt to take out another mafioso and give tha townies a bigger advantage before my inevitable death! when voting was initialy over, i had clearly decided to just give up....tha only reason i posted again after tha voting was done was because kdogg left it open! i just thought id give it 1 more chance! ya know....a 'last ditch effort"? oh well...
its cool.....id rather just be done at this point anyway! i dont care if everyone switches there votes to me! im over it!

I was hoping we'd have everyone weigh in on page 9, so I'd know they caught up with all that's happened in the thread. I don't think that's happened just yet...
And a heads-up to y'all... I'm going down to Chicago Friday to see the Pixies, so I'll probably be out of here early afternoon.

I finally got to be a mafia thanks kdogg even though it was random. I think I like being a townsperson better. It's much more fun to do the figuring. Bacon is a love child

I suspected he was lying, but only a little bit -- not enough to change my mind about Sal. I even had Bacon and Jen working together if Bacon was lying, but I didn't see you coming at all, Wolf.
