I told you guys we needed to kill Bacon! ;D Of course, I was totally wrong about Jack, and I was between NTRT and Jen for the last place. I agree with NTRT. I didn't suspect Wolf at all.
Here's the funny part: Wolf was the name I gave HGH at the onset of the game, and she never once voted for him.
I guess I need to go back and read through some old games, because I understand the inspector's role but I have no idea how to look for who it is during the game. I definitely never suspected HGH was the one.
I don't think the Mafia knew she was the Inspector, either... I think she got whacked for being a threat in general, rather than any Inspector suspicions.
Another thing that got a chuckle out of me... That death with Matt Damon? The Mafia sent me that one for Handgun, despite no females actually being in the scene. So I threw together the Alyssa Milano one and appropriated the Damon scene for Sal's death... it seemed to fit quite well with what he was saying near the end.

Ehh I didn't think that one out kdogg. I just got through watching the Departed. All of my death scene inspirations come from movies I've recently watched. And Bacon and Jen both thought HGH might be inspector. I really suck at picking out the inspector though.
I stumbled across some "death scene" playlists on YouTube while I was seeking out the Handgun death, which works quite well when you need a death and you're in a pinch... just want to throw that out there for future Mafia & Referees.
Yes, but she voted for them not knowing any Mafia identity other than Wolf. She never even asked about Bacon or Jen. Her guesses were Rooconteur & Swamp Witch.
I suppose they could've suspected her, but not for the right reasons. Seems they were more onto her than she onto them.
I nominate Bacon for MVP... mainly because you Townspeople actually bought his BS
Haha thank you. I have to say I thought I was a goner during round 2. I would like to thank NTRT for saving my ass and then laying down the foundation for this mafia sweep.
I thought Wolf would end up by himself and my biggest fear was the inspector had his name. Ironically she did and she unknowingly voted the other two mafia leading to her own death.

Nope! I named HGH or NTRT as Inspector on day one....although I thought NTRT could have been inspector too but I was oretty convinced it was HGH.

I agree! I can't believe ya'll bought that. I thought for sure SW would call bigtime BS on that one! Thanks for working with us NTRT you helped us win.

Between the ongoing talk about Inspector rules and the increasing frequency of Mafia blow-out victories, I've been doing some thinking. I still think something should be tried to change things, but I'm not sure that imposing rules on the Inspector is the way to level the playing field. Rather than just keep nay-saying the proposed rule, I'll suggest an alternative.
I propose we try out a new role: Deputy. The Deputy would be something like a vice-Inspector, on the Townspeople's side. Here's how I imagine it working:
The Deputy would receive the results of the Inspector's Night guesses. The Deputy would not, however, receive the identity of the Inspector or the initial Mafia name given at the beginning of the game. Nor would the Deputy be able to privately communicate with the Inspector. Upon the Inspector's death, the Deputy would take over as Inspector and receive the initial Mafia name received by the Inspector. There would be no replacement Deputy once the original Deputy takes over for the Inspector.
I think the role might achieve the same ends sought by an Inspector rule, but through different means. I personally think the Inspector role is kind of weak, and I think this would give them some flexibility. Having a Deputy to back them up might embolden some Inspectors in taking on Mafia. There's a bit of a safety net in challenging the Mafia, knowing that your information (probably) doesn't die with you. A role, as opposed to a rule, negates my chief objection to the rule - telling people how to play their role. I think those factors might help counteract the Mafia blowout trend we've been seeing lately.
Just wanted to throw that out there before anyone mentioned playing another game. If memory serves me right, Bacon called dibs on Mafia 26 referee before this game even began.
Ya I called ref for 26 and I think now after Thanksgiving is a good time to start taking names. I think Kdogg's idea is reasonable I would be up for trying it if everyone else is cool with it.

Have we ever considered a doctor role for the game? It would work like a doctor can save one person a night, but can't save that person more than once or twice (whichever we decide) that way they can't just repeatedly save themselves or the inspector.
I will play but my wireless router at home is broken right now so I'll only be able to play from work until I get it fixed or cough up the dough to get a new one. I think the Deputy role is cool as long as that person uses this picture in their signature.
Obviously that wouldn't work since their identity would be revealed....but I liked that picture.
I like the Doctor role too....wasn't there a Nurse role like that at one point? That was before my time but I remember someone mentioning it.
There was a Nurse alongside the Vigilante... not sure if I'm so hot on the idea of bringing back that role, though. Doing those other roles went along with a plus-sized game of 15 players.
Ordinarily I would probably sign up, but I'm going to be away for a while over Christmas and I will only get to access a computer maybe once or twice a week during that time, and I doubt the game will be done before late December. So no mafia for me this round.
