Yeah, NEEDTOBREATHE is a crossover band, kinda like Skillet and Thousand Year Crutch. Except not as heavy ;D There songs are inspired by their faith, but not overtly "Religious" or preachy so if you didn't KNOW they came from a Contemporary Christian background it wouldn't be obivous. If that makes sense....

I checked out the webpage and listened to a little - I like it okay enough. I mean if I was walking by - I would check it out but if there is a scheduling conflict - it's not something I am going to worry about

ding ding....exactly......i hope no scheduling conflicts exist. last year when i saw the lineup for roo i was soooo psyched, but then it hit me.....conflicts....and there were many, for me.......i hope the hangout is different, conflict free is alright with me!!

With 4 stages, I am sure there will be conflicts. I bet they alternate the two big stages though.

That is one of the major (and MANY) things I LOVE about VooDoo is that they alternate the main stages and they are RIGHT next to each other so you really don't even have to move to be able to see all the headliners. And both stages have big screens so you can camp out for a great spot at the stage where you MOST want to be and still see the other headliners on the screen. SOO AWESOME! I LOVE this layout! Hopefully it's the model Hangout uses too.

uh yeah....agreed. My pale, red headed ass needs to acquire some sort of a base tan before this. At roo, I have no problem covering myself so I can stay out of the sun and not burn. But this is ON A FREAKING BEEEEEAAAAAAACH.

^^ this. I am also a red head so I know ALL about how much our skin types don't get along too well with the sun. I'm going to start laying in the tanning bed next month to prepare my skin for so much sun contact, if I don't i'll wind up with sun poisoning. Also i'm going to bathe in the highest SPF sunblock they make. Then maybe i'll just burn a little instead of A WHOLE LOT.
I somehow have a feeling that pre-Memorial Day in Gulf Shores...there will be plenty of blindingly white skin to go around...and TONS of cringingly blistered sunburns by Sat night.....I just pray NOT to be one of them!
Dear Hangout Festival and Inforooers: Thank you for getting my hopes up. You see, I have this massive festish for 'blindingly white skin.' I also have a thing for ridiculously out of place tan lines. I'm confident that come May, you will provide me with both of the aforementioned visual treats. If at all possible, plz let someone pass out on the beach all day with a really big pair of sunglasses on because as you and I all know, everything a person resembling a raccoon says and does is friggin hilarious. I just ask that since i'll most likely be wearing sandals or flip-flops, plz give me the intelligence and memory to apply sunscreen to the top of my feet. That is all. xoxoxoxo, triponthis

I received my promo materials in the mail last night. Most bands that I have done street team for use the honor system. I always hang the fliers, but they never check. Well, Shimon wants proof. If you hand out fliers at a show, you have to take pics of yourself by the marquee with the band name, 2 pics of you handing promo before the show, as well as 2 pics of yo handing out after the show. They say that you have to email them for prior approval before shows. But not to email after March 15th (yesterday). The website is supposed to be up on the 15th and it's there, just not working currently. It would be nice to know how many points you get for which task and how many points it takes to receive merch etc... If nothing else, I guess I got a lot of free posters.

look what I found at Big Lots last night!! I had to buy a pack.
it was four dollars for a pack of three! if anyone wants any let me know and I'll go pick up a few more. They're perfect for the beach at night!!! ;D
What is Big Lots? Oh, I got my UV reactive contacts in the mail yesterday. I just wonder if there will be any place @ Hangout with UV light (blacklights). Im sure a few wooks will enjoy glow in the dark eyes. Or it might completely freak em out. I guess only time will tell.

^^ You've never heard of Big Lots?!! Maybe it's an Alabama thing I dunno. It's like a really big discount store that carries the overstock and stuff of that nature from other stores like Walmart and stuff like that.

Crazy??? Yea, like a fox. :-) But seriously, when im not at WIU im in Chicago. Never seen a Big Lots. I have seen dollar stores around, but that's about it. Maybe I will drive by a Big Lots on my 15 hr drive to Gulf Shores. I will stop in and demand 1 million glowstick necklaces and some sun lotion.
