And Ariza has been on four teams lol. Blazers, Rockets, Pistons, Thunder. That must feel pretty lame. I wonder how many steps ahead he was aware of. I would think the Rockets would let him know he'd likely be headed out in a S&T, but I wonder if the three-teamer between Thunder-Pistons-Mavs was already in the works or whether he was aware of it. On some level he must have known he'd be passed around as salary filler. Still must be frustrating for a guy like that who's had such a long career that's now winding down.
Steven Adams will be here in what will be possibly a mega 5 team trade. In the words of Adams, we’re swinging at the knees (hellllp).
As for the rest of the deal, the teams involved could include the Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets, though details are still being finalized. The Pelicans previously agreed to a deal this week that entailed trading Jrue Holiday to Milwaukee for guard Eric Bledsoe, forward George Hill and three first-round picks.
I’m assuming this is a year to work with Zoon and Hayes and get a 28MM expiring contract to free is up even more for next year.
I'd do it again I just don't have a whole lot of hopes for it after last year. I guess all these guys will get vaxxed-up before the plebes so the season won't get shelved again.
28M is wild I knew he had a big contract but that's crazy
Looks to be a one year rental type arrangement. But it’s part of the Holiday deal as we moved Hill and Darius Miller*, the pick in 2023 and a couple seconds. Some have speculated 2021 is the year of free agency, so the expire date contract should give us opportunity.
I think we got Miller the year we drafted AD. He’s a good guy and a teammate. I know Melli played with him in the EU a few years ago. Gl to him.
Darius was also an alum of the 2011-2012 NCAA UK championship team that Davis played on, so yeah that was the same year.
Last year the Inforoo basketball fantasy league was a points league, like most football leagues. A point per point, point per rebound, point per assist, minus one point per turnover, etc. Some leagues weight those stats differently in terms, whereas that one was simply 1 or -1 for each. Other leagues, like my friends league, are based on categories, like most baseball leagues (I think, never done baseball).
That's a little frustrating but I'd rather have Millsap based on last year and I'd *much* rather have Trez, so that's still a downgrade for the Clippers, imo.
They also picked up Patterson and Morris again. Patterson was alright last year, but that Morris contract was horrendous. Was Trez just heading to the Lakers no matter what? Otherwise, idk what they're doing and I think they've made themselves worse, if anything. Are they gonna trade Lou, also? Seeing a ton of rumors about that.
esteban zion is the longest tenured player on the Pelis. wild shit
We didn’t tender them, but if we were to re-sign Frank Jackson or E’Twaun Moore, he’d be 2nd (or 3rd). Griff came in to build a team. It’s probably going to take another couple years then we gotta perfect shit if we want to compete. Btw, I loved Christian Wood when he played here. I want to say we signed him to a 10-day and then kept him for the rest of the 18-19 season. I don’t know what his NBA ceiling is, but good luck to him with y’all

True if kind of a technicality since he was drafted an hour or so earlier. Also re Wood, I'm really glad he’s getting a real contract. I think Rockets have a possible diamond there. Maybe he won’t be a hall of famer, but if he gets in the rotation, watch him get after it.

Ibaka is way better than both of Trez/Millsap imo... Trez might be better in a vacuum, but Ibaka is way scarier in the playoffs. Jokic feasting on Trez is how we came back in that series.
