Clue #1: The one monkey that was the warmest and his offspring
What about Blur? The one monkey that was the warmest could mean a guess at a possible headliner(Gorillaz). I.E Damon Albarn. His offspring could mean his other band Blur. Just an idea.
I considered this option for a long time but then read an article from December in which Damon Albarn declared he had no further future plans with blur following their European dates last year. Also a new Gorillaz record is dropping in the spring so I'd say if anything we will see them at the farm.
Go back and look at his past tweets. He saya kloo multiple times.
From 1/14/10: Actually, I could only find two tweets using the "KLOO" spelling. All others are spelled "clue." It was a quick search, so I may be mistaken, but not by much. Might just be a measure of his intoxication.

Has he ever given you a clue to a second band before you guys solve the original clue, or do you think his upcoming clue, will be to help us out with this one. I see nothing on this thread but pure chaos. You have stretched like Armstrong to make this clue work with so many different acts. I think Claypool or Arcade Fire are your best two, more likely claypool. Will he let us know if we (you guys) figured this out?

The clues come on Bonnaroo's radio station. The clues came out pretty randomly, waiting for us to get it right would be like telling us that we got it right.
There is still arguments to this day regarding last years clues. I'm in the group that thinks Peter Bjorn and John were booked =P.
DJJD and the Operator account helped with Roo clues in the past. They would say "One: Blah blah blah" which meant that they were talking about clue number one.
And I think you hit the nail on that last part. The problem is people seem to be TRYING to make clues work rather than figuring out clues. It's like having a jigsaw puzzle and guessing what it is without having any of the pieces together.

Yes. I believe out of all his tweets, he has used the "kloo" spelling twice. All other uses of the word are spelled, "clue." I'm not saying it means anything, but the use of "kloo" is very recent, and rather limited.

Not possible. It was already confirmed some time ago that premiere board member "beau" solved clue #1 quite handily.

First, in regards to the tweet - no, that is not a clue. In general, a tweet is never a clue, although we had a few exceptions at the very end of last year, but those were clearly marked/numbered. And as far as the spelling of kloo and the use of the word mood - probably no significance there either. DJ JD always uses a lot of "oo"s, I've always assumed it's just in keeping with the Roo theme. (See also: Brooers Tent!) And as far as capitalization or anything goes...his tweets in the past have included a lot of weird capitalization and stuff that seemed like it might be meaningful, and we've never figured out any significance for it. I'm inclined to say stuff like that is just messing with us.
Second - can we PLEASE keep this thread to actual discussion of the first clue and leave this sort of discussion in the general thread? You guys are defeating the point of splitting this mess into multiple threads! ;D

Well he did capitalize the letters DjjD and Kloo and Mood...so capital letters are DDKM. I guess we can say Duran Duran and Kylie Minogue. Sorry beau, but clue #1 hasn't been solved yet.
Anyone guessed David Allan Coe yet? It would make a lot of sense, but only if he performs with his children. I don't know a lot about the guy and can't seem to find band information anywhere. Maybe he always performs alone.

Did we ever find anybody in cali to go to the Julia Nunes shows these past two nights? I don't know if the offer is valid but there are 3 more shows beginning with Seattle tonight, then Minneapolis Monday & Chicago Tuesday. I feel like we had at least one twin cities poster in this discussion, am I right? If so you should totally hit up the show and meet djjd in person for another clue! I've got your crunchies if you can make it happen.
Did anybody ever commit to being able to come through on this potential opportunity? Given the most recent tweet he may not actually be at the last two shows though...

Bluegrass artist Gillian Welch also has a song titled One monkey but after that I find no other connections to the clue with her. She is touring this year and has played other large fests.

Quite possible. I hear enough wrong clips queued on live radio that I can't yet rule out something like that... if Clue #1 gets played again, we're definitely barking up some wrong trees.
I'm still in the George Jones camp until further notice, though.
Some of you are really getting so technical that it's laughable. Hot Chip is definitely a possibility. Arcade Fire is a bit of a stretch...but She and Him could be it as well.
One of their "Offspring" was Chali 2NA... Who was part of Jurassic 5...
If J5 has a reunion at Roo, that would kill! Also, Tre Hardson was also part of Jurassic 5, and a member of The Pharcyde. The Pharcyde could have an appearance at Roo.
Tre Hardson was never part of Jurassic 5. He was a founding member of The Pharcyde, made some solo records, and toured as the resident MC for Ozomatli (after Chali 2ns, who WAS a member of J5) for a year in '07. He's back with The Pharcyde now ... and they should DEFINITELY play at 'roo.
