Another longshot guess, but why not ~ Simian (warmest monkey? pretty far up there on the evo chart) was around for a while, don't think that they are now. Justice made a remix of a Simian song that I think went over quite well. Someone had a Justice thread up so it made me think of this. Carry on....

Well, that tweet came a couple hours after people sent him the link, so we don't know when he started reading or how far he could have gotten in the thread.
But I did notice that post of mine when I went through everything before to see what I might have said. You may be right; he could have meant that one. I wasn't the first one to mention the Monkees, but I was the first one to think "warmest" in geographic terms I think, so it's possible I was on the right track with that. That was how I ended up noticing that Michael Nesmith has three kids with "J" names and I was wondering if the clue had something to do with jays, but I thought that was quite a stretch....who knows!

I was thinking the same thing, threebboyz. Here's Pepper's post:
"I like the idea of it relating to the Monkees, so I was curious about who would be the warmest. The only thing that came to mind is where they're from geographically, and the warmest would either be Michael Nesmith from Texas or Micky Dolenz from LA (does anyone know which place would be warmer?). According to wikipedia, Nesmith's got 4 kids and three of their names start with J - so maybe something about jays? Probably a total stretch but I figured I'd throw it out there in case any part of that makes anyone think of something else. "
There are a few ideas in there. One, that the clue has to do with the monkees. Two, that warmest refers to geographical location. And three, that it has to do with jays. I think one of these approaches may be the direction to go.
The only thing I can get out of it is the Jayhawks. I don't know what hawks has to do with it, though.

WOO, for once I managed to post something quickly enough to not be redundant! Hahaha.
Another thought: Micky's first child was his daughter Ami Bluebell. Between the somewhat noteworthy name, the fact that she was born in 1969 while the Monkees were still very relevant, and the fact that she actually made a bit of a name for herself as an actress (and some other stuff, I think...producing, maybe?) she's probably more well known than most of the Monkees' kids. So, can anyone get anywhere from Ami Bluebell?

Well, Jayhawks are a cross between BLUE jays and sparrow hawks.
Another connection that might fit somewhere, somehow - one of Micheal Nesmith's monikers was Woolhat - and wooly monkeys could be seen as the warmest monkeys. So there are two ways in which Nesmith could be the warmest monkey.

threebboyz you just made my heart beat a little faster. in a different thread someone just said that bonnaroo and coachella would share a headliner (one of the mods i think) and a "leaked" coachella poster mentioned bowie... oh god i'd shit. crunchy when i can, man.
