I think of myself as more musically experienced, not necessarily older!! Also, lucky to have witnessed the development of music, as it is today, from the early days. Anyway, we can still ROCK with the best
Hubby and I are both in our forties. This will hopefully be our 3rd roo in a row. Waiting on the lineup and money to fall from the sky to pay for tix We found out last year that the only way to go to Roo is in an RV . . . even if it's a tiny hunting camper we borrow from the in-laws! Nothing like having a bed when you finally try to sleep!
I'm old and worn down a little. I'm also cheap. I've done all of my Bonnaroos in GA. I've been lucky the last three years and got close-in camping. I would hate to get stuck in BFE like I did the first couple of times.
The advantage we have over the youngsters is we know how to pace ourselves.
I'll be 50 in July. This will be my 5th Roo in a row. And I'm still trying to learn how to pace myself. I think I'm slowly getting there, if I compare the results of '06 to last year.
Fewer blackouts, and most mornings I woke up in my tent, even if I didn't remember how I got there. ;D
This will be my wife and my 7th Roo at 52 and 50. Have to say I have gravitated to VIP and a camper and find that much more to my liking. The showers and bathrooms are what I deserve at this age.

I will be 43 and this will be my 5th Roo. Every year I go with people much younger than me, and have no trouble keeping up with them. Last night one of the slept through Bruce and late night while I stayed up until 3am
My boyfriend is 43 and this will be his first Roo. I'm 31 and this is my second. I will never miss another one, and I hope he can say the same after experiencing it!
I'm 51 and my wife is 52. this will be our 6th bonnaroo. In 2005 my son had just got back from Iraq and we thought this would be a good healing experience for him. All I have to say is there is no place in the world where you share with 80 thousand people an atmosphere of a love for each other and music. Me and my family live and breath Bonnaroo.
I turn 40 on June 7th. I want to thank you all for coming to the biggest birthday party ever!
I went solo last year, my first roo. Looks like I'll be solo this year too.
Say, I wonder if some of us old farts in Camping only might like to tent-up in a group? Last year I was surrounded by kids who looked at me like I was the unwelcome creepy old guy. I'm hoping my neighbors this year are warmer.

There is an Inforoo tent-only section every year where we have a brunch on Friday morning. I don't camp there but I guarantee you that everyone there will be friendly!

Watch the That Tent section of the forums for updates.
Yeah, to my embarrassment, I didn't write down how I would FIND the inforoo group last year. I figured it would be obvious, or have a big flag, or someone would know. Well, I schlepped my stuff from BFE to Camping only, and there was no sign of the inforoo'rs. I was wiped out and just pitched my tent where I collapsed.

It has at least one big Inforoo flag and also one with a photo of a baby. They usually are in the same area every year I believe. Both times I went to the brunch I had no problem finding it.
Funny, I have problems with my feet so I camp over in the access area and the age group is a bit more spread out. My doctor (and I) don't think roo would be possible if I had to hike from BFE. Having a doc who goes to jazzfest helps immensely!
I'll be f-f-f-f-fifty by the time Roo rolls around. I was at '05, '06, '07, and '08. Missed '09 because of a kid's graduation and looking forward to '10. I go the VIP Hotel route. Some say I'm missing the true Roo experience by not camping. But I need a good night/morning's sleep to keep going for 4 days.

Ahhh, the line-up is out and I am excited. I said I wasn't going if DMB was there but I lied :)Husband says he is sending me and the two teenagers. We have a pop-up but may not use it. The kids are 16, does that qualify us to stay in Family Camping? Last year we camped in BFE and arrived to the farm about 9am on Thursday. We had no trouble getting in and set up. I was a little lonely last year (painfully shy) so this year I plan to meet some info-rooers!

well if you are painfully shy, you need to hang with us. We will keep you company. We live not far away and when we get tired and too hot, we go to our pool for a couple of hours to chill in the peace and quiet. Tehn were ready to go again. Makes a good mid day break.

I'm taking my will-have-just turned 16 year old and 2 of her friends and also my 20 year old. The number of kids may increase. I can guarantee you that I will not be with them the whole time and so I'm ready to meet some inforooers as well. I think we're just doing tents.

Rock on ChangedMan! Rock on Zen! My girls will be a month shy of 17 and don't feel the need to keep up with them all the time, this year I want it to be more about me and what I want to listen to I more than likely will be doing the tent but mentioned Family Camp because for some reason I thought it was closer to Centeroo....
MOJO: Do you have a strategy on close-in camping? Doe arriving later on Thursday help?
The last three years I have gotten in line between 8 and 10 am and gotten close in camping. There is a luck factor but, I believe your odds are increased by arriving early but not too early. In '04 and '05 I arrived in the afternoon and camped fairly far away.

I'm pretty sure the age of children for Family camp is 16 or under.
