Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Update #2:Bummer about tent only getting smaller again. Seems like every other year they squeeze us tighter. Anyways, we're still on, same bat place, same bat time. Look for the flags to find us, we'll have my old famous baby flag and the new one; the pics are up on the Survival Guide, plus the Inforoo flag (it's got a rooster on it) should be up there too. I'll be rolling into Manchester around 8-9 am CDT, I figure on getting to the campsite noonish. Anyone who plans on getting in line before me, send me a PM with a phone # where I can reach you on Thursday morning so we can coordinate. Anyone coming later than me, look at the map below and, go there and look for the flags. I'll check in occasionally before 'roo, feel free to ask anything in this thread or PM me, I'll try to get back to you. Just a reminder: Everyone is welcome, all we ask is that you treat others as you'd like to be treated yourself.
Update:we're on track for another cool Camp Inforoo. Assuming that the campsite layout is the same as last year (no reason to think it won't be) it'll be in the Northeastish corner of Camp Adrien! in tent only. As soon as I get there I'll fly the flag to lead everyone in. There is an addition to the flagpole this year; in addition to the old famous baby flag, there is a new (in)famous baby flag. Here's what to look for:
plus we'll have the Camp Infooroo flag (it's a rooster, natch) up there too. I should roll into Manchester around 8am Thurs, so I should get to the campsite noonish if last year's traffic is repeated. If anyone plans on getting on site earlier, PM me and we'll make plans. One request, if you're going to set up camp before me and expect me to find you, PLEASE don't get so drunk (before noon) that you can't tell me where the fark you are when I call you. Seriously, that happened last year and I'm still a little bent out of shape about it, rant over.
For those new to Camp Inforoo: everyone is welcome! My only request is that if you join us, you offer other the respect you'd like them to offer you. That's it! First time to 'roo? You won't have a better experience than to join us. Been to 'roo more times than me? What took you so long to find us, all the cool kids are here!
For the newbs (nothing wrong with being a newb, we were all one once), Camp Inforoo is the largest single gathering of people camping at Bonnaroo. It started in 2005 w/ me and 2 other people camping together, now it's so huge it's like Christmas, Easter, Carnival and Arbor Day all mixed together. Anyways, we get a group of people camping together in the tent only area, right about .... here;
and we have lots of fun, there's soda and pie and sing-a-longs, everything you could ask for. So... this thread is for ideas, plans, people saying that they'll join in, etc. What has not worked any year we've tried it is "reserving" spots for people. It's tent only, you make room, if there isn't room, you move over 10ft and there's probably room there. You don't need to camp right on top of Camp Inforoo, just drag your chair over and make yourself at home. Anyways, more to come...

Last year was my first Roo, and I had every intention of moving to Camp Inforoo. I ended up getting put in BFE, but my neighbors were all really chill and convinced me to stay. I ended up having the greatest weekend of my life. I planned on stopping by, but every time I was wandering around, I would purposely get lost, having a destination didn't seem right. I'l put it on the top of my list this year.
Will there be a large communal area under a few tarps? What time is the camp usually visual by? I have tons of ideas for stuff (from previous Coachella camping experience), so lets compare notes and make the best camp possible.
Will there be a large communal area under a few tarps? What time is the camp usually visual by?
So what usually happens is we have a couple of 8x10' sunshades together and cluster around there. Essentially, the camp is visible when either, I get there and fly the baby flag, or the Camp Infooroo flag goes up (not sure who is the Keeper of that one right now). If I go (should know pretty soon), I should be at camp at noon on Thurs at the latest. If there are a number of people who plan to get there earlier, plan amongst yourselves in this thread. Let me know what's going on so that I can find you (and please make sure that whoever my contact is happens to be is not too drunk to tell me how to get to the campsite, that ticked me off). Unless the camp only area is radically different this year (anyone know?) we'll camp in the same place NE (upper right) of Camp Adrian!, seems to be the ideal spot.
What do people think of a camp theme? We did this with the Yellow Submarine on the Coachella boards (well, it was mainly other people since I flew in a plane). But it turned out really well and united the camp quite a bit.
It was fun to find whatever random stuff that fit the theme (such as a mural, colored ribbons, random small stuff) and plan with everyone else.
If this feels like too much or like something not interesting, just let me know! I will probably throw out ideas until someone says shut the hell up, hahahaha.

I will make sure our group gets at least in the vicinity of camp inforoo this year. Last year we thought the whole time that we were in Clubber Lang, but eventually figured out we were in Paulie. Woohoo! I can't wait!

I'm going to seriously attempt to get over to Camp Inforoo this year. I didn't even make the brunch last year, though I can't even remember what I was doing that was SO important that I missed it.

Last years camp inforoo was amazing prolly the best idea i ever had for bonnaroo. Hey leo its eric the kid with the phillies hat from last year just wanted to say hey and i hope that the job opportunity came through for you. Also hope you can make a venture over to bonnaroo this year! I will be there this year whether im going solo or with people for sure.
No, I'll probably be there, don't have a tix yet, maybe a bday gift from someone. I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed by the lineup thus far. Only acts that really grab me are Stevie Wonder, GWAR, Damian Marley, Black Keys and Blues Traveler. Just got a job here in Knoxvegas, so I should be local when 'roo comes around. Also, been to six in a row, so I have that going for me.

I will be camping there as usual Should be in early this year, the night before, and driving so I'll be supplying a 10 x 10 shade tent as well and hopefully be able to stake out a good spot early. Can't wait to see everyone!
