I don't give a sh#t what any of you think. I'm telling you now, it is just plain stupid to have a party till you drop mind set. I am not impressed with this foolishness. If you are smart, you can party in moderation and it will be a better, longer lasting good time. Why would you want to knock yourself out early with too much too fast. You would miss all the good stuff. I've been around the scene long enough, since 1986 when I was following the GD, so don't give me your nuts about how you're so cool, that you would do so many drugs and alcohol, as though you were cool becasue of it. You are not! It would be cooler if you kept a little of your head on strait so you can get thru all 4 days. Kids have died at Bonnaroo becasue they were stupid and did too much too fast. Even the rock stars you worship would tell you the same thing. Let's have a rockin' good time at the Roo and remember.....people are not impressed by how stoned you are and you can't give and receive the best vibes if you've lost your mind. Be cool and keep a little of your head up there and lets all have a blast.....key word, "moderation" keep that, and you will have a great Bonnaroo! Let's not see any more kids be dying at the Roo!

Party til ya drop.........only have a few beers a day........I really don't care what you do!!!! Have at Roo how you see fit while not endangering fellow Rooers. It really is that simple. Saying partying all out is stupid is just as self-righteous and saying moderation is boring. Do we really need this conversation?

there are plenty of kids who come to Bonnaroo who abuse themesleves.....kids have died at a few Roos' I don't give a sh%T IF i GET 1000 -KARMAS go ahead and - karma me......I'm angry that no one has the balls to talk about this very important issue. or pretend like it doesn't exist......it is real and we should encourage some kids who loose their head not to over do it and wind up dead. ok, now my rant is over, i spoke my mind....and if you hate this post, you'll thank me later that someone told you so, when you're head is spinning and you're barfing up your guts from going overboard..........you can only have the best time with just enough.......party, but don't party till you drop....that's just stupid!
Whatever happened to individual responsibility? If you lack the sense to party without killing yourself then you probably have larger problems. I'm not going to waste my time trying to tell others how to have a good time.

it came from me......ok, I've been drinking, but ahhhh, in moderation......just thinking how many times I've seen fools in the scene think that people think they are cool becasue they've done so much........that doesn't make you cool, that makes you a fool........all I'm saying is don't be stupid and kill yourslef....some kids come to Bonnaroo and wind up killing themsleves and if I can start a thread that might same someone here or a friend of a friend here, then it's worth all the - karmas I get......it will have saved a life.......

It' sad that when the party is over, I hear on the news that 2 or 3 people died at the Roo.......and people act like they don't care....everyone of you who've given me a -karma.......you don't like this message, but it needs to be said........now, I've spoken my peace. I will return to my possitive vibes....just had to get it out there......peace

actually I was going to give you +karma, but I've already given it out this hour. Maybe if I'm still around here when it gets renewed.
I was just curious about where the original post stemmed from - I know there has been a low death rate at 'roo considering the thousands of people that attend each year - it just seemed to come from out of the blue to me

The people who are going to do this arent gonna listen to anyone telling them not. At roo of all places people are gonna do what they want to do, so why bother. They do look like asses, which is alright to me because its usually entertaining.

The one who has been drinking is the one doing the preaching about not partying too hard? That is so d*mn entertaining!! Just for that Mr. Bill, I think you need a Roo hug to wash away those blues. ;D I promise I won't party too much!!
I believe in natural selection.. If you die from "overdoing it", then you die! If you are that f*cking stupid that you kill yourself, then be that stupid.. But remember kids: key word: kill yourself in moderation.

It's about time! If you hadn't gotten drunk and started yelling at us, none of us would have ever even thought about druqks being dangerous! Way to save the day, weatherbill! That's a whole lot of unwarranted hostility to spew at a group of overwhelming knowledgable and experienced strangers. Maybe you should work on your own issues beforing chastising us. There have been MANY, MANY helpful and precautionary threads and stories on this board. The only difference between those and yours, is that your rant was presumptuous, condescending and rude. The vast majority of people on Inforoo are fully aware of how to responsibly handle themselves at Bonnaroo....or anywhere else. The few jackasses that are going to grossly overdo it, aren't going to pay any attention to your childish tirade. In fact, they may even take your ridiculously cocky post as a challenge. Chill the f*ck out and worry about yourself!

As the great Andrew Bird would say " I'm all for moderation but sometimes it seems moderation itself can be a kind of extreme "
sorry, all this talk of moderation and what not just sent those lyrics into my head. But yeah, you all make good points. Everyone just have fun at Roo, but be safe. That's all

LOL.......you guys crack me up.........I've had a few beers...ok, but now, eat your heart out! I'm having brownies and Icecream now........and 'm having alot of fun.....in moderation........he he

yea.. I've never seen 'em.. Also, Bill, I would say, if you really wanted to make an impact on any of us, you probably should of gone about it a different way, and not in a drunken rage.
Let's get this clear for anyone reading this thread who's taking it too seriously-- there's never been a Roo where a group of people died. There was an older guy who died one year, another hit by a tour bus another year... It's never more than one really strange and outrageous case. And oddly enough, it's often someone older, not a "kid".
Roo shouldn't be a frat party-- but the irony of this thread is that Roo is usually MUCH more responsible a group in terms of people helping one another. Very different vibe.
