Ok so, somebody had to do it eventually. So here it is, the fashion page for men! I've spent enough time flipping through the girly fashion thread and wondering about guys clothing and accessories. I assume I'm not the only guy on this board interested in picking up some cool threads and so forth for Bonnaroo and the other festivals this summer. So yeah, if you see any good online deals on men's apparel, any cool festival-appropriate men's wear or accessories (or clothing or accessories that have no gender attachments, I'm not picky) then throw us a link and/or picture!
Here are a couple things I've been thinking about picking up or have already purchased for the festies this year:
I actually stole this idea from the Girly Fashion Thread (which is exactly why we need our own! The Tie Dye Sarong Wrap Around Pants looked really comfortable for lounging in the lawn, dancing your ass off, or chilling in camp. Got the dark blue ones, they should be in the mail today, if they feel as awesome as I expect I'll probably get another pair!
I feel pretty sure that I need this shirt from the Rusty Zipper vintage clothing website. They've got lots of unique "hippie" shirts for guys, a commodity that can be kind of hard to come by. They also have a wide variety of Dashikis if you're into that sort of thing. They look comfortable:
Going to probably get some new Sanuks for Roo this year, though I may use my old Sanuk Donny's again. For you newbies, who aren't in the know, Sanuks are a pretty damned good festival shoe. But there's another thread for discussing that

This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
I pretty much go the standard cargo shorts (need the pockets) and a tee shirt. As nice as flip flops may be, gotta go with sneakers since I've got a trek in from James Bond BFE that often requires walking through muck and very muddy (and slippery) wooden planks. Baseball cap to top it off. (I've tried to go the straw cowboy hat route shown in pimpmcgeorge's post but I am adamantly told by my gf that I can't pull it off. It makes me sad but that for another thread.)

Yeah I generally go for just cargo shorts and t-shirt, but I'm trying to branch out haha. And yeah, those pants look killer, I hope they're waiting for me when I get home. I found Sanuks to not necessarily be the most supportive shoe for all the hiking around that you do at Roo.. HOWEVER, they never once slipped, came down under my heel, or did anything else funky while I was walking through grass, mud, slick stuff, whatever. They stick to my feet like glue. That, I like.
My...... god. The pants I posted at the top of the page there? Well they were waiting for me when I got home. Quite possibly the most comfortable article of clothing ever made. The silky cool smoothness of a sarong, without the danger of showing your balls to the world! And they can be tied up like shorts or allowed to blow around or tied at the ankles or whatever. I'm getting more of them for sure.

Whoa they're only 17 bucks?! I expected them to be a little steeper. That's a heck of a deal, man.

How do these tie up for shorts and at the ankle? Do they have little tabs on them or something?
They don't have anything to tie necessarily, but the fabric is sheer enough that you can just tie the ends together!
Edit: I realized that was a little vague. The pants are put on kind of like a diaper, you tie the cords around the front that hold the back of the legs on, then pull the front up through your legs and tie it around back, so the sides of both legs are open. Then you can tie the outside, front and back bottom corners of the legs together or let it blow in the wind or tie them and pull them up to knee length for some pirate pants! haha

Those pants are super comfortable, however, with one flaw. Yer gonna have to just take 'em off whenever you hit the portas. This is one reason that I want a utilikilt for this year.

You might have to take them completely off if you're taking a sit-down, but otherwise you can just pull them over since the sides are wide open

Soooo...I'm kind of jealous of these pants. I found solid color ones and am wondering: could I pull these off at the office in the spring and summer?
I think you could. Just make sure you wear some boxer briefs or something underneath or maybe just throw some pins or buttons on the upper sides, as they can and do open up and reveal the entire side of the leg at times. hah

So I am in the market for a new suit and I was leaning towards J. Crew. I like their Ludlow cut with the shorter jacket length and narrow lapels. I am thinking the worsted wool version for a few reasons. One, i prefer side vents, and also the worsted wool should be more durable than their other wool. I enjoy some of the bespoke details like lined interior pockets and rolled collar, but I wish the cuff buttons were functional. www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/MensBrowse/Men_Shop_By_Category/suitinganddressshirts/italianwoolsuiting/PRDOVR~11707/11707.jsp I'm thinking navy, I really like how it looks despite its lack of versatility compared to the charcoal.

Little secret. Waterproof low cut hiking boots. They are hot but you can cruise past the mass migrations of sandle wearers that are avioding the mud. There will be mud. Cruising straight through is the only way for me. Shorts, bandana shades and boots, I may look like aa person about to rob a quickie mart but I made it through roo with a stress fracture in my foot, passing people all weekend. I always camp in pod one which is way out in bfe. Last year I had a pedometer on me, we ended up walking bout forty miles before we left on monday!
Some cool pieces here but they'll need to be washed with some fabric softener and then run through the dryer a few times with some fabric softener sheets to get them good and comfortable. Great once you break them in, and definitely cooler than regular paisley Wal-Mart bandanas.

I've always wondered how many miles one would walk over the Roo weekend. Never would I have guessed 40 miles.
