I have a large cranium. Does anybody have any recommendations on where to find a hat when the most in "one size fits most" does not include you? I have checked a couple of sites that I saw on Google but am open to more suggestions on sites or physical stores where I could actually try the hat on.

I have the same issue. When I get one, it typically has to be a fitted hat, but since I don't wear a hat even at roo, I can't be of more help.

I am a big guy, with a big dome to match. I too don't trust the "one size sits most" verbage, because I already know my body is abnormally big. What I did? Google hat sizes, take a piece of string and wrap it around your head where your hat would be, and then compare it to the chart you googled for your size. Then order a hat with your specific size. I got my straw hat yesterday, and it fit like a glove. I'd also recommend this site: www.beltoutlet.com They had lots of hats at reasonable prices. Also, enter this code I found for 10% off your order "belt10" Hope this helps, good luck my large domed bro.

I have never worn one, but I have heard good reviews about it helping in the middle of the day, so i was wanting to try it out. The cheapest I can find that will fit me is around $30 after shipping which is a little expensive for an experiment.

Thanks. That twill hat does look nice. I already took care of the measurement. I am 95% sure I am looking at a 3XL/8 size.
If you don't normally wear them, I would not start at roo. I tried that experiment at a golf outing and dropped a lot of money on a fitted (white) hat, and half way through my first round, I put it in my bag never to be worn again. It was making my head overheat and was already beginning to get dirt stains and sweat stains. Some people swear by them but I can't do it.
Then again, I have thick black hair, so I do not worry about sun on my scalp much. Wet a bandana from time to time, and take it off when it gets warm FTW.

For me, Boxer briefs, Tighty blues and Mens thongs underneath, Loose cargo shorts or Soccer shorts and some very breathable shirts. dont forget the straw hats. shoes, a good pair of addidas, tevas an Chuco sandles. Varry all of this above and I am good to go. Dont forget the runners glide.
sicne swimsuits are supposedly good for underwear (girly fashion thread) I may try a mens bikini bottom to see if that helps.
Just came up with a pretty good invention. Basically take an old pair of shorts cut under the waist band except for a pocket. Leaves you with basically a belt with a pocket, that can rest above your crotch and under you shorts.

Dri-fit or similar material shirts (nothing better for this type of weather) cargo shorts backpack w/ stoaway camelback inside I will be switching between my Sanuk's, running shoes, and Crocs depending on the weather and shape of the ground. Baseball cap
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

You can take those hats, put it over your knee so the bill is facing you and pull on them. You will hear a small rip and it is basically stretching it out. It may work for you. There are videos on Youtube to show you how to do it. I have bought some hats that are too tight for me and that has worked.

Nothing says "I'm here to party" like some cut off jean shorts.
And nothing compliments jorts like a mullet. I may get tired of it by Saturday late night and switch to a mohawk. Just gotta remember to pack the clippers.

OMGSH! You should let me cut your hair! That sounds like so much fun! (Note: I can't cut hair. Never have. I just want to give someone a mullet...)

I have the exact same problem, and for years I couldn't find a single hat to wear. Recently though, New Era has started making extended size fitted hats (within the last year and a half?). They used to only make up to size 8, which I'm told is a huge hat (even though it still never fit me), but now I've seen hats up to size 8 5/8.
Just a warning though, they only ever make 4-5 different styles of hats in the extended sizes at a time, so you need to search for hats often if you want to find a team/style you like. You can search by size on their site.
I like quicksilver amphibians (http://www.quiksilver.com/amphibians). They are like a mix of board short and casual shorts. they dry really quickly, are super cool (temp. wise) and come with side and back pockets, some with belt loops and such. plus there is a memorial day sale going on right now. i don't mean to sound like a spokesman, just a customer who was very happy with them at bonnaroo.
Yay, this thread is awesome:). Im still trying to find a nice hat to wear for roo. And also was thinking about some low cut converse? I really like my sanuk sandals but I have a feeling my feet will get destroyed if I wear those.
