imagine how much more that inning would sting yankee fans if they weren't down 3-1
Yeah, I mean the Dodgers were the better team and deserved to win. But man, that was a complete meltdown of a game/inning. The errors that occurred were so bonkers.

Thats how the yankees roster was built. Top talent but zero fundamentals. Plenty of fascinating n deep dives into it all. Bur in short, the Dodgers really liked this matchup based on scouting. They saw that if you could limit their home runs and force them to execute that they were an easy win. So they hoped games were tight because the Yankees could t do those little things to get over the too while the Dodgers were kings of that. Yankees had shit defense and baserunning. It was all on display. I mean when you have a team that has a ballpark designed to skew stats, what do you think would happen.

Supre I actually think this is one of your most absurd posts ever. Are you claiming inside knowledge of the Dodgers organizational planning and philosophies?
By virtually any measure the Yankees had one of the best overall defenses in MLB. They played incredibly poorly in the series. All of the rest of what you wrote is weird fanfic.

Uh huh. Its more absurd when its true. Also the Jeff Passan piece is amazing.

And the Ny post skewered em. But oh right, I have hot takes
The NY Post is your source of record?
I am generally bemused and amused by your posts where you claim expert knowledge on how to book Dua Lipa's tour or how to run a presidential campaign, but that one was uniquely bizarre in that you are cosplaying yourself in the inner Dodgers braintrust with post-facto claims that are easily disproved.
The Dodgers front office is incredibly smart and would be well aware that most metrics graded their team below the Yankees in overall defense. I suspect they knew the series was a coin flip. Like most October series are.
Yankees collapsed defensively and thus the better team, the Dodgers, won.
All of that scouting amounts to "the Dodgers knew that they were better than the Yankees, and that if they played better than the Yankees, they would win".
The Yankees had an epic collapse, but the idea that the Dodgers exploited them with some master gameplan is super dubious. The Yankees simply played like shit. Post article is just an NYC media pile-on. Super smart fundamental base running or whatever on the Dodgers' part can't account for the Judge error (the opposite is arguably true, he took his eye off the ball looking for a double play because the runner didn’t tag up), or the bad Volpe throw to third, or Cole not covering first.
