I LOVE Abita Amber and we can get all three of those locally. I want to be able to get the seasonal brews...like Abita Strawberry that I have to rely on Meg and Boz to hoard for me! ;D
I like some IPAs but most of them are too bitter for me. I don't like sweet but I like the hoppy wheat taste better than the bitter taste...just me I guess.
As of August 22nd New Belgium Brews will be available in DC/Maryland/Virginia.
Life just got a little more dangerous.
Talking to my Bud distributor on Friday about getting this for my bar. Unfortunately for me, when they go into a new area, they roll out bombers, then bottles, then kegs. It'll be worth the wait though for a Fat Tire on tap after every shift. ;D
I knew you didn't have cans but you guys don't have Fat Tire in bottles or on tap up there either?? Now I feel kinda guilty that I have a can in my fridge and had two glasses of FT draft Tuesday night
I will finally be able to try the famed Fat Tire. ;D
Plus, New Belgium's Abbey Ale sounds good too. I wonder how it will stack up against Maredsous 8. One of my all-time favorites.
I am a fan of the Abbey Ale....Fat Tire is good, but I prefer the Abbey Ale. And one of these days I HOPE Alabama can finally get Allagash! Love that stuff!

Bama,
I will trade you some Allagash for some New Belgium Somersault!! Meet me halfway?
On our way home from Roo we spent the night in Asheville, NC where we stocked up on some beers we can't yet get here. I have some Fat Tire cans in the fridge but they are being saved for a camping trip. Unfortunately, I told my bestie I would save some for her. I never did tell her how much "some" was though... One out of 12 ain't bad; right?
P.S. Picked up some of Boulder's Sweaty Betty yesterday; tasty!

Deal! I will start looking...got ome Boulevard Wheat the other day...probably not as good as the ZON but not bad!
JHo, I think you might be able to get my buddy Dan down there because influencing (bribing) with alcohol is a good start.
Jess suggested we trtry and catch Robert Randolph for the Live on the Green show in September. I might need to ask for a couch but I'll see if i can make it. I appreciate y'alls Southern hospitality with the suggestions.
If you are in the PA/Philly area i would suggest that you look for Sly Fox beer, they have 3 or 4 styles that come in a can and are all very good beers. They run about 30 bucks a case but are definitely a good camping option at roo.
