"AC Entertainment presents rock icon Neil Young in concert, performing his first shows in the South in nearly a decade! As an even rarer treat, the Twisted Road Tour will feature Young performing solo acoustic in theater settings, offering those fortunate enough to be in attendance a program of his classic songs along with the special privilege of hearing new songs for the first time. British folk legend Bert Jansch will open the shows. Neil Young comes to Louisville's Palace Theatre on May 26, Atlanta's Fox Theatre on May 29, the Spartanburg (S.C.) Memorial Auditorium on May 30, and Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on June 1. The guest performer on these dates is Bert Jansch. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 27, at 10 a.m. local time; click here to see all the dates in the Concertwire calendar."
Well, at least it's not the Loveless Cafe barn
EDIT: Just looked up ticket prices for the Ryman show: $127 and $92, plus applicable service fees YIKES
My first thought was that it makes sense for NY to be added to Roo given these dates and A/C Superfly is the producer or whatever. But then again, everyone talks about these "can't play within so many miles/days of Roo" clauses.... so take it as you will.

i was discussing with gl that the only way he's playing bonnaroo is if he is recording in nashville. he's not going to play in nashville a week before roo, then come back to play at roo. but if he's in nashville recording he would still be there a week later. so if you can find out that info, is he recording in nashville? that will tell you whether to expect him to pop up at roo or not.

Rolling Stone has picked up the Neil Young news, and they are posting TWO dates at the Ryman, June 1 and June 2. I asked the AC twitter if the two dates are true.
Not going to drag it through the mud again but it seems a little odd to me thats all.
The "Oh no, not this shit again" picture is played out, but... "oh no, not this shit again".
I'm holding out hope for Bonnaroo's 10th anniversary. He's a legend, not to mention he was also the first mainstream headliner Roo ever had - that's gotta count for something. I hoping he announces some dates up northeast. Yes, I know, he comes through here more than he does the South, but I've never seen him, and damn it, I want to!

Ok Nashvillians ;D, let's get on it!
If he IS recording here it would most likely be at Acony, I could ask but I doubt they would tell me.
