Don't understand the bonnaroo-8 and Newport-1
but ...... this lineup is amazing. Totally full of bands that I love and have seen. I'm definitely thinking about hitting up the saturday and sunday days. Yim Yames, Levon Helm, Felice Brothers, AA Bondy, Low Anthem........all amazing

Holey moley that is tempting. I'm supposed to go right over there this fall too. I dont think the timing will work unless school starts nice and early there.

Good lineup.
Yim Yames?!?!?! He's actually sticking with that exceptionally stupid name? It's not just a MOF thing? How in the hell did he get it in his head that this was a good idea?

he could call himself "donkey duster" for all I care. as long as he keeps making music i'm happy.
and looks like preservation hall jazz band could be a great show. i'm sure yim shows up for that.
I went a couple of years ago, the last time Jim James was there. It's a nice little fest. It rained though during Jim's set, and unless you're under the tent you're screwed. And the tent had chairs, so they weren't exactly packing people in there. But overall, it's a nice small fest and the lineup this year looks great.

Holy nuts!
I'm going - that's all there is to it. $100 for that lineup? And it's only an hour and a half from my house?! Deal!
This looks completely outstanding. Take notice Bonnaroo and get some more of these gems at your fest.
If anyone hasn't heard Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons. You should. I saw them open for Dawes in NYC in February. I was there to see Dawes, but Cory Chisel blew them out of the water. So good.

to be fair, bonnaroo has has most of these before and i believe dawes and cory chisel will be playing cafe at roo this year. but that said, it's still a very solid lineup. there are none of my favorite bands on there, but i would like to see almost every band on there.

Agree 100% danbird. Saw them open for Brendan Benson and Dawes too. After the Dawes show they hung out at the bar with us. Such super nice people.
And they are now playing Born Again off Death Won't Send A Letter on one of the the music stations I get on my TV. I expect they will blow up pretty quickly once people hear them live.
The band is much better at a show than on CD, imo.
"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!
i wish i had the money right now. it only goes up $25 for the regular on sale. so it's still not too bad.
I thought I read somewhere that it was $69 per day, regular. I maybe wrong though. Either way It's the hotels you should be worried about. Even after they jacked the prices up I could only find a Motel 6 for $108 a night.
But at least they will leave the light on for me. I'll probably need it.

haha yea. i don't know how likely it is that we actually make it. this is like the 5th festival i have got excited about, but something always keeps us from going.
It's between this and ATP NY for my summer festival this year. I can't decide, both of them look so amazing!
Correction: it's between Newport Folk Festival, ATP and Nateva for my summer fest this year. I can probably swing two but definitely not three. NFF is definitely the most feasible, economically speaking, since it's only $100 and it's a day fest. Oh, decisions, decisions.
