just spent close to $440 on two tix to the dallas show. not happy with the price, but extremely happy that im going. my original plan was to see the houston show, and then the dallas show the next night. however, i just opted for the more expensive tix for one show.

DSOTM is 42 minutes long.
The live album from the original Wall tour is 105 minutes long.
There already are 2 sets, the end of the first set is Goodbye Cruel World, the beginning of the second set is Hey You.
There will be an intermission of 15 or 20 minutes.
That is what the show will be like.
I wouldn't completely rule out a one song encore, but I wouldn't count on it either. And on the outside chance it does happen, the odds of it being one of his solo songs are equal if not greater than it being a Pink Floyd song. Not that that is a bad thing.

I don't see Gilmour coming to the states to play one song. We can hope. I finally found out where my tickets are. Section B row 16. Dead center 16 rows back. Sweet.

Grrr.... trying to get tickets to Boston for October 1st, but Ticketmaster keeps fucking with me - it starts off having selected 1 standard admission, 1 American Express pre-sale, and 1 American Express preferred seating. I try to change the pre-sale to 0, suddenly it jumps automatically to 3-5-3. Then I try to change it again and it goes to 7-3-7, then 3-0-3, and when I finally get it to 1-0-0, the 'find tickets' button doesn't work. I tried calling to do it by phone, but Ticketmaster has the single most frustrating automated 1-800 number I've ever dealt with (and that's saying something). I'm going to have to drive over to the venue this weekend and buy them in person - so inconvenient.
But, mark my words, I will be there. There's no way in Hell that I'm going to miss this one, technology be damned.

I saw the opening night of this tour in Toronto and it is spectacular! Go see this if you can - not to be missed. There is an intermission following Goodbye Cruel World, at which point the wall is built across the entire stage and the second part begins with Hey You. The effects, animation, puppets, crashing airplane, flying pig, singing children, surround sound are incredible. The backing band does a great job throughout. The show is a huge spectacle and the money was well spent. IMO.
I spent 2000 on my truck in may, that literally killed any hopes I had of going to see the wall. Had this not happened, I wouldn't have had to borrow money for the roo from my parents, and I would be seeing the wall at st louis, very near the front to, I would have went premium atleast.
