Wow. Absolutely insane show, definitely check it out if it's coming to your area. It's highly doubtful we'll ever see it on the farm - not just because Waters is in Europe during Roo next year, but also because there's just so much that would be difficult or impossible to pull off in an outdoor setting - a prop plane flying in from the house, a giant pig balloon flying around the arena, pyrotechnics, et cetera; he may not want to compromise on those elements. Plus every other act on What that day would have to work around his elaborate set. If you're planning on going to this, you owe it to yourself to spring for seats with a good view - this is one show that really needs it.
As amazing as it was, I do have a couple gripes. They could have improved the sound quality a bit, I think they were trying to keep the volume relatively low because of the big baby boomer crowd the show attracted - but maybe that's just because I was sitting next to two drunken assholes who talked and texted throughout the entire show. It was hard to tell from my seat and in my state of mind, but it looked like Waters may have been lip-synching at certain points when I could hear him singing, even though he wasn't holding the microphone up to his face - I really hope I'm wrong on that one, though. Also, he should have brought the choir of kids who sang on "Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2" out for a bow at the end. Come on, Roger, they're just kids, let them have their moment!
ahahahahaha, anyone else that I wont be going with?
OK, I'm gonna splurge on a very expensive ticket tonight thru StubHub. I could kick myself for waiting so late, but so what? How many chances will I get to see this show? Now I'll get to see Roger Waters *and* meet some more Inforoosters! It's a win-win!

So, Bamabelle, where are y'all sitting?
Hey Holls! ;D
Great deal that you are coming to the ATL for Roger and the Wall! Chico and I are in Section One Floor, Row F or G I think....great seats but he DID get the presale lotto so. But yeah...paid out the ying yang for seats but we figured would probably be one if not the last opportunity to see something like this at least on this scale!
We will be staying in ATL all weekend so if we don't manage to meet up pre or post concert immediately if you are gonna be hanging around ATL let me know...I'll PM you my cell #. Chico has never really been TO ATL just THROUGH it so I was gonna take him on a whirlwind weekend tour...Little Five Points, Midtown, maybe get out to that little used CD/Record store in Decatur I love so much if we have time....you know...but his flight gets in about 2:30 or so on Thurs I think so there's plenty of time for a pre-concert meetup if anyone wants to try to do something. Just PM me or Chico.....Can't wait to see you guys! ;D

I just picked up some tickets for the show in Tampa, I've been checking out some of the video of the show that has been posted on YouTube and it is unreal. I stopped watching it just because I felt like I was spoiling Christmas. This is going to be fucking great.
Too cool! We're in section C seats 4-5. How about you?
Floor B, Row 16, Seat(s) 13, 14. I have no idea how many seats are in the sections but I think we'll be pretty close to dead center. I am beyond stoked. Apparently, there is a hotel connected to venue and that is where we're staying. I can't eb 100%s ure but that is what my friend stated. Where are you guys staying at?

We're staying at the Pear Tree Inn Union Station about 3-4 block west(?) of the show. Supposed to be a nice place and we got a great price.
But seriously, I could not justify the price fer just Roger Waters. Don't get me wrong, great, talented musician and all. But I ain't payin' that much moola unless I at least get Gilmour and Waters fer a show.

My brother said that he made the most ambitious request of an artist ever. He's trying to book David Gilmour solo acoustic for the 50th anniversary of Clowe's Hall. My fingers are crossed.

Jsut got back from St. Louis Roger Waters show. Holy shit. I've never seen anything like it before. Words can't describe how amazing this show was. Lucy may have helped in that regard. Low light was comfortably numb due to Roger pantomiming the lyrics. Here's some pics. www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=562730&id=557350033&l=d7cc0a1ab8

I have avoided YouTube and all substantial major reviews....
Just three more days of work, then off to ATL to pick up Chico at Hartsfield, drop off the stuff at the hotel and it will FINALLY be CHRISTMAS! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Anybody got a spare ticket for atl? I got ca$h and just got off of work(in Nashvegas), and scrambling to make last minute plans. Might go the stubhub or craigslist ticket route....but figured I'd try here as well. Don't mind paying for a good seat....within limits of course. I've decided I simply HAVE TO see this show.
