I keep wanting to do that one. But then the word essay reminds me of school. Then I just can't do it anymore.
haha, same here. I see the word essay and cringe... just figured for those of us that dont mind writing and/or are good writers, it could be a great opportunity.
I know I one of the only people posting these, but it helps me keep track of them. I also hope that if I don't win someone else will see this and will win.
I know this is going to sound awful but be careful with any contests that include travel if you're really there for the music. We won a prize last year and while it was great to be able to have our friends with us we completely missed Sunday.
I totally tried to get away with "going home on my own cause my flight was delayed (which it was for 4 hours!)" but they kept calling and texting and whatnot and I was like...screw it, I'm tired, whatever... they still shipped me off to the airport and it was a big waste of time waiting for my delayed flight. They lectured me and everything that i had signed the papers and they were liable for me and had to make sure I got all the way home safely through their transportation. Even if I was actually on the way home, they were tellin me to pull over and have the driver pick me up there and take me to the airport still... ridiculous!

I was wondering how they treat people who already live in TN if they give away free travel arrangements. Surely it wouldn't be an issue if I want to get myself down there and back. Just give me the tickets and I'll be fine.
Part of our group was in Nashville, I think. They didn't include airfare obviously for them but they still picked them up and had a ride from their home to Roo.
Most of the smaller contests that I posted are from local radio stations or smallish websites. They normally include the guest package.
Which is actually really cool.
I would think that large media websites like Fuse, Rolling Stone, and CMT would be smart enough to see that Bonnaroo is in fact a 4 day festival and has been promoted as such since 2006. So why only offer a contest for 3 of the four days?
I would really like to know where all of these contests come from and who is making that final decision.
