I'm going in Wednesday night whenever they start letting people in. I would say get there a little before 7am gate time on Thursday morning. Most people seem to hit the line around 10-12 and it takes forever.

I think we'll be rolling into the line around between 11 am and 1 pm, depending on driving. I get in line and get comfortable. Turn on some Radio Bonnaroo, smoke a cigarette and start letting the mood kick in. Line or not, it's worth it.
From past experience getting in line anywhere between 8 AM and 10 AM gets you to your camp around 12-1 PM, maybe 2 PM. But that still gives you 2+ hours to set up camp, unwind, and head into Centeroo w/ the first set of shows starting right around 5ish-5:30 PM.

Same for me, b\w 11 and 2 though. I'm always in, camp set up, around 6 at the latest. I think music starts around 5, but you still get to see pretty much everything.

If you're looking for consensus, I'll add my vote to these two. We leave the hotel in Murfreesboro at around 9. We're in line certainly by 10 and set up about a nap's-worth before the opening acts (assuming rain like last year, of course.)
I would suggest (say you're at Wal Mart) get in line around 4 or 5 for an ETA around 7 or 8, at the latest.
From my experience:
06- got in line at 6am and into Roo by 9am, parked to east of Centeroo, over the little bridge, BFE. 07- in line on the interstate between 6 and 9pm parked at 10 pm, waaaaaay in BFE, furthest out I've been 08- in line from Walmart at 9am, parked at noon, at the far end of Shakedown, not a bad walk. 09- in line at 5, parked at 7am on Shakedown, not even a five minute walk to Centeroo, the best spot I've gotten.
I agree, I have searched for any info about arriving on Friday and just can't seem to find anything. My guess would be that we wouldn't have to worry about too many others trying to get in at that time, which brings me to another topic of the dreaded car search...will we be put through the wringer because they are not as busy as they are duing peak hours?
11/2/19: Tool 5/17/19: Blues Traveler 5/9/19: Tool 11/10/18: Tenacious D 9/20/18: White Denim 7/23/18: Radiohead 6/4/18: Jack White 5/20/18: Tool 5/18/18: A Perfect Circle 5/18/18: Alice in Chains 5/6/18: Blind Melon
We got there at around 8am last year and I don't know how we managed it but we waited in line for less than an hour. We ended up taking back roads to our entrance so I don't really know how we managed that.
We are staying in Murfreesboro the night before but I have read several peeps say that coming from the north they force you to overshoot the site by 12 miles are so and go down to Exit 127..is that true????
We were thinking about leaving the hotel about 6am
Any one know the system for rv.. The last two years we hit the lines at about seven and were parked right next to thesearch area. Would like to be closer this year.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

If you can make it Wed night, try that. I read that people in RVs were put in Marty Mcfly right near Centeroo even though they were the early ones. (whereas with tent camping, earlybirds get stuck out in BFE)
