[ Suggestion - Park offsite on thursday, then walk or hitchhike in. Then you can leave as you please. Obviously you'll have to walk, but it's better than either missing thursday or skipping out on one night of your hotel room.[/quote]
You can still attend the festival on Thursday and still have your hotel room, you just can't drive in and out the the venue (kind of a catch-22 due the the size of the festival, but I'm sure that's what they'd say).
Technically, you will have to miss out on one, so you're not getting both. Stupid rule.
Smeman...maybe the Walmart at exit 114? I dunno, really.
Walmart at exit 112 would be a good no-hassle place. You could most definitely park there, and find a ride as it is usually filled with people on their way in to Roo. The only problem would be that it's 2 miles back to Walmart... so you'd have a long walk back, unless you found someone to give you a ride. Another Suggestion would be to park at the Gas Station at the corner of the entrance to New Bushy Branch road. The Gas Station would probably frown on this, but if you aren't leaving the car overnight, you may be ok. Third suggestion would be in or around the Holiday Inn, but again, the walk would be long.

Surely with all of the posters on this board, someone will be able to meet up with you and drive you in....I am going in through VIP or I would most graciously give you and your daughter a ride in.

Yes, you are correct, but his hotel is 30 miles away...quite an expensive trip I would assume.
Walmart is probably your best bet, smeman. The hotel might frown on Thursday parking if you're not a guest because that is where VIP's check in, right?
there are no secret entrances to Bonnaroo. It likely is 114. I know it's a few miles down from the site, and Bonnaroo is exit 110, so I was thinking it was 112.

Yes there are. It's directly off the highway between 111 and 114.
I think the way they see it, you should be able to check into your hotel on Thursday, and get on-site by the time the music's starting (since it's all night shows on Thurs), and then just camp until Friday, where you can leave at night once the music for that day is over...they just don't take into account people that can't camp for reasons like yours.
Which sucks.
EDIT: A group of my friends missed Thursday entirely last year because of this.

ummmm, ok.
It's been on the map for the last 3 years, so, imo, it doesn't qualify as secret.
I was just trying to get the exit numbers right for him. Sure, it exists on the Bonnaroo map, but not on other maps, therefore making it a "secret" entrance. A lot of people don't know about this entrance. I had to snoop on these boards a while before I found out about it.

I thank you kindly. I think I'll turn up at Wally world and holler "INFOROOOOO?" I bet I will find a kind soul to help. What time do yall wake up ? Don't wanna pi$$ any one off.
Ya know, it really wouldn't be that hard for them to make a special exit for day parkers...especially since they own so much of the property now.
It's not that there is no exit. The exits are clear for the people who want to leave. They don't want to clog up the town of Manchester with traffic from people who have already been through the traffic once and made it on site.

you said the highway entrance doesn't apper on "other maps." So I was wondering what maps you were looking at that show the entrances to Bonnaroo.
The map that people are given each year when they arrive have the special or "secret" entrance off the highway. There is one floating around on these boards somewhere.
