White russians are a great "Get drunk at 9 in the morning" drink. With my hair being long this year I think I'm going to don a bathrobe and a pair of sunglasses and sell white russians outside our camp.
If I get anywhere beyond slightly buzzed in the heat I am just miserable. I'm thinking about bringing my blender and hooking it up to the car power inverter. I have to see how long those cords will reach though. A trip back to camp in the middle of the day for a mixed drink sounds excellent.
lime juice (the bottled, not real lime) club soda/seltzer water sugar mint leaves rum
what makes it different then a regular mojito is that you add more lime juice (to taste) until it reaches the lemonade zone, and then the mint leaves add an extra taste to it.

^this sounds good. Bloody Mary with tabasco are good in the morning, I usually stick to beer the rest of the time but I keep it open at roo, if the heat hasn't sapped my motivation to drink.

We love beer punch! Just like the "Summer Brew" mentioned above, but we use frozen cranberry or cran/rasberry instead of lemonade. You don't have to keep it frozen. Just tranfer the frozen juice to a tupperware and keep in the cooler.
Sangria is good too! two bottles of wine, a small container of punch (like hawaiian punch), 2 cup of brandy, and sliced oranges, lemons, strawberries. Keeps for days if kept cold and is very good over ice. Plus you can eat the fruit!
My boss never heard of Shandy - half beer, half lemonade. So I Wikipedia'ed it and each country seem to have their own version of a beer punch. Some use lemonade, some Coke, some orange Fanta, some ginger ale or ginger beer... it is a good way to maintain a nice buzz without becoming dehydrated or hitting to hard/soon.

Next time I reply to something like this, I'm going to read both sentences. DURRRRRROYYYYYY
I picked up a 1/2 gal of Smirnoff Vodka today. Cheap, plastic, & good history. Don't judge. Then picked up Bloody Mary mix, coconut, mango, and guave juice. Getting OJ w/ pineapple before the trip. Maybe cranberry? Wife says yes. Vodka goes with just about anything. Gonna experiment. Heard Coconut is the new hangover killer.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
We love this drink on a hot summer day or out on the boat. It's called Summer Brew and I think we'll give it a go this year:
1 can frozen lemonade 1 can (the empty lemonade can) vodka 3 beers (or whatever your pitcher will hold/ to taste)
They taste delicious and refreshing, and it's a good cheap way to get a good buzz going!
My only concern with this at roo will be how to keep the lemonade frozen, it may have to be a thursday/friday only cocktail!
You made some of these at camp inforoo, and they were delicious! REALLY good in that oppressive heat. Thinking about that made me smile for the first time since my Saturday took a nosedive this afternoon.

SOCO PUNCH!@!! It's a fifth of Soco, 7UP/Sprite, frozen orange juice, and frozen lemon juice. You mix it all together and serve it in a punch bowl. We've bottled it into two liters though. It's so good.
Whipped cream vodka + OJ. Tastes like a dreamsicle! So, so good. I've also mixed it with root beer. It tastes like cream soda, but it's a little too sweet for me.
I think this was mentioned already, but some sweet tea Jeremiah Weed & lemonade is extra tasty when it's hot outside.

Have you tried Mt. Dew and Captain Morgan? It also tastes like a creamsicle.
ive never seen whipped cream vodka! whoooaaa! im gonna have to find that asap. ive always just used vanilla vodka, and diet orange soda to sacrifice calories and a splash of orange juice. of course diet sodas can bring on a helluva hangover so sometimes the calories in regular soda or juice are worth it...especially if youre going to be dealing with heat. in fact, with heat, i would probably only use juice or gatorade as a mixer. shiiiit...i'd even rather just chase some shots of cheap gas station rum with water. but what i'll probably really do is use some diet blueberry juice and/or those drink enhancers in powder form you add to water...oooh or maybe even those new Mios that are liquid, zero calorie, flavored water enhancers.....and clear rum or vodka. maybe a tiny bit of whiskey and ginger ale for the campsite.

Pinnacle makes the whipped cream stuff around here. That's the only brand I've seen. They have a ton of flavors, but only a few are actually available here. www.pinnaclevodka.com/index.php
jlm77, I'm a vodka kind of girl, but I may have to try that.
