That's my drink as well, though I do like a lemon now and then. Generally don't like too much sweet stuff in my drinks, makes my head ache.
Though, a local bar had a drink with my name on it on the menu a while back, and its sweet but very tasty. Probably too complicated for me to bother with at Roo, though:
Equal parts citrus and regular vodka Sours Shake with ice Layer over Chambord in a chilled martini glass
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Hell yes I rolled in one year with a solid silver goblet "pimp cup" Just as long as there is no glass involved. Last year I got a corncob pipe walked up to centeroo with it in my mouth and they let me through.

Thinking about making a batch of vodka punch in a small cooler and throwing frozen fruit in it to marinate... grapes, jarred citrus wedges, strawberries. I think the frozen fruit would be awesome in the heat.
Oh man this seems like the best idea I have ever heard, why didn't I think of this years ago?!
Haha I forgot all about it til this thread, we used to do it all the time in college but its been ages!!

I'm thinking about making a big batch of pre-made cocktails. Something that's all ready to drink and I can share with neighbors or passersby. Any idea on some recipies?

For Lollapalooza I've always brought a flask of passion fruit vodka and mixed it with the citrus punch propel packets in my water bottle. It tastes fantastic and can be smuggled in just about anywhere.
For less clandestine drinking affairs back at camp I will probably be bringing Jameson and lemonade. I'm a big fan of gin and tonics, but I can't drink them without fresh lime and they have to be ice cold...so I'll probably skip them at Bonnaroo.
For me I'd say my two favorite mixed drinks would be Jameson and ginger ale and Tanqueray and tonic water.
Jameson and ginger ale. Refreshing and tasty. Its Been decided, that's what I'm bringing.
This sounds good! Rye and ginger is my winter drink of choice (which is apparently a Canadian thing? I learned about it from my Toronto friends in college). Never tried it with Jamesons though...
I need to find the whipped cream vodka!! They also sell whipped cream infused with alcohol. Now that'd be fun, haha.
^^I've tried the alcohol infused.. The chocolate is wicked good- almost decadent. I also tried the Raspberry which I didn't like. It wouldn't be a good Roo treat though. It's supposed to stay room temperature- too hot or too cold it becomes runny. It would be mighty hard to keep it around 72 degrees...
It's not my style, but the packy near me recently started carrying 3 Olives Dude.. it tastes like Mountain Dew (it's a lemon-lime flavor). They were doing a tasting of it and I tried it straight (they were also serving it with Sprite which I despise) and barely below room temperature and it went down SO easy. Might be a good thing to bring for some of you (after taking it out of the glass bottle...)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

The 3 Olives purple flavor is also very good...it tastes like artificial grape drank, which reminded me of childhood. Mixes well with a little sprite or squirt. Doesn't taste like alcohol at all.
speaking of drinks that don't taste like alcohol...my favorite concoction is the P2...we discovered it in Denmark...1 shot of vanilla vodka, 1 shot of apple rum, a splash of green apple pucker (optional) and sprite. It is very potent, but tastes like delicious caramel apple.

cold apple pie. Take 1.5 gallons of apple juice, like 3 cups of sugar, and a bunch of apple pie spice. Bring it to a simmer reduce by over half. Let it cool, and then add about 1/2 gallon of everclear. Strain through cheap pantyhose or cheese cloth to remove the spices.
The sugar and apple juice keep the burn down, and the buzz comes on quick. ***Don't put everclear by an open fire it is combustable, also the juice needs to cool down enough so the alch. doesn't evaporate.***
