Brutal. Why buy inside? I heard people were selling beers for as much as five bucks a can inside. I imagine that has to be in line with Centeroo. Just bring your own and be done with it.
Yeah the prices in the general store were out of this world. I think they were selling smokes for like $10 a pack too. Highway robbery. Is the store run by 'Roo or was it a vendor?
i may or may not be under the age of 21. And may or may not be worried about entering with 4 cases of beer.
I definitely look on the young side, but have NEVER been carded once in my 2 years at the 'roo!
You can buy nice beers like magic hat for like $5 a cup, i'd assume domestics would be cheaper. Also look for people in the camp sites selling $1-$2 beers all weekend!
Last year we ran out of beer morning of the third day and each threw a few bucks we could spare from our respective "corn" funds. We got a 6 pack of Budweiser. It was 24 dollars. Bring your own beer.

As already mentioned the price for beer at the vendor stands inside Bonnaroo was universally $5. That got you either a 16oz bud/budlight or a $5 tasty micro-brew (sierra nevada, magic hat, etc.)
Seeing as micro-brews typically run $3.50-$4.50 at just about any bar I've ever been to I don't think the prices are unreasonable at all.

Remember everyone! You will be able to find plenty of people selling beers for a $1-$2 in the camp grounds, I suggest you stock up early if you think you may run out!

In '08 we made the mistake of only bringing liquor and we REALLY wanted beer for the campsite. but the prices at the Roo General were OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! Lesson learned.
EDIT: we made friends with our neighbors. They had too much beer. we had too much food. It was win-win!!

Don't you have to have a license that says you are not a muslim as well? My GF is from malaysia and the penalties for drinking while muslim there are pretty severe.

I could have sworn it was about $120, at least by the time we made it in there. I know it was at least 4x the cost it would regularly be if not more. I remember being totally taken aback that they would find a single person to buy it. Either way, it is in no way worth it at all.

Magic Hat is a domestic, its made in Vermont.
And I'm just bringing 3 or 4 mini kegs from work for 4 people

I'm sorry for misspeaking! Normally at a bar a "domestic" is a bud/miller/coors. Thats what I meant! I live in TX, and most bars here don't consider Shiner (a TX beer!) domestic!

Ya its pretty bad in malaysia. Dubai rocks, except for no corn. They've got all these laws that are never really enforced, unless circumstances call for it. Can't get drunk n rowdy on the streets. Or drunk n homeless. Weird place really.

thats what we were thinking of doing... just putting a few handles in water bottles or something. Just in case we happened to be underage and found by the fuzz (but this is only figurative).
