Any Chicagoans ever been to the Auditorium Theatre? Not sure if I can spend the 50 bone for a ticket plus drive to/parking in Chicago just a week after seeing them at Bonnaroo, but really want to anyway.
Actually is just crashed after 5 min it took about 3 hours for it to sell-out.
Also btw Amos Lee is opening the show
I hope they didn't plop down more reserved seating after they pulled it together. The MMJ ticketing site was very quick to slap the "pre-sale sold out" indicator on there. Bah. The pricing was VERY reasonable for Red Rocks.
And I blame KBCO, the local sponsoring station who plays maybe one MMJ song a week and the new Amos Lee at least 3 times a day, for that less than stellar placement...

I saw Eddie Vedder solo there a couple years ago. It is a cool place with an old-time, intimate feel. It will be a great place to see MMJ. They know how to play to a venue. I wasn't able to get tix through their presale, but there is a jam mail presale tomorrow that I should hopefully have better luck with.
If you're worried about parking, you'd be better off finding street parking a little north of the loop, then taking an el to the theatre. There are multiple lines that run just a couple blocks away.

This.
VERY cool old venue. It has been a few years, but I saw the White Stripes there in '05 and Wilco there in '03 (?). Sound was excellent and sightlines were solid.
All right, so I'm just a casual listener of MMJ, but I'm heavily considering seeing their entire set at Bonnaroo. Last year I didn't stick around for many full sets at all, but I've heard that MMJ is one to stick around for. It's really gonna be hard to stick around for all of it, especially if it's Friday late night, which means missing stuff that I wanna see like Pretty Lights and Big Boi.
wow i didn't realize how much i was using the term "stick around" haha
New download coming today!!! I'm guessing Gideon or Anytime but would love Dontante or Into The Woods.
As for me Bonnaroo will be my 5th MMJ show and I don't give a shit who is playing where during MMJ, they are the biggest musical reason for me to be there. I agree with ITM that if Dr John were to confict that it would be a tough decision to make but you just never know what you're going to get with MMJ. Last year at Sasquatch they finished with a 20 minute version of Steam Engine and I would have to kill myself for missing something like that. Lets just hope that Friday night conflicts consist of electronic music and MMJ not something classic like Dr John!

I've been saying since 2009 that Neil Young and My Morning Jacket being on the farm would be all that I want.....so them both being on the farm this year has me so excited.

It's going to be hard for them to keep the album under wraps for that long. I still believe there will be an optional DL of the full album the day of the final 'free tunes' email.
Super pumped for this weeks song. But I would have said that about anything they released.
So...MMJ just played a secret show at a small bar in Louisville...cant wait to hear all about it.
Actually their guitarist Carl opened for Everest at a bar here in town. MMJ and a few members of Everest played one song together right before Carl's closing number and Carl joined Everest for a couple of their songs too. But not an MMJ show. Amazing show! Absolutely amazing.
Jim James did tell me that MMJ would be opening for Arcade Fire on Friday at Bonnaroo and not playing late night. He said 8-10 followed by Arcade Fire.
