This little blurb is in the latest Rolling Stone (issue 1128): MMJ will play tunes from their sixth LP, Circuital (due in the summer), on a handful of dates beginning June 17th on Chicago...Expect epic sets at scenic venues like Colorado's Red Rocks. 'We're dipping our Toes back in the water,' says James, who promises a longer run this fall."
I can't imagine MMJ not delving into new material at roo but that's what this brief paragraph leads one to believe.
I think MMJ played 3 hours in 06...only reason I say this is bc I remember being at Umphrey's from 12-2 and MMJ from 2-3. But, maybe they didn't go on til 1230, so I could be wrong.
It's possible. I was going by the old schedules I had. They were scheduled for 2.5 but I could see them playing a little more since it was late night without anyone after them.

As I said....it's possible......and again - it's beside the point. No matter how long they play - they will be amazing.
MMJ download day!!!!! Evil Urges this week. Personally think it would be hilarious if Good Intentions was the DL this week. Hoping for Aluminum Park, Touch Me 2, or Highly Suspicious. Thinking it will be Evil Urges, I'm Amazed or Touch Me 2.

I like the attitude of our monkey trainer. A Friday evening set guarantees I won't have to choose between a once in a lifetime LN set and an MMJ LN certain to be fantastic.
I actually had a feeling it would be Smokin, but I'll stick with being consistantly wrong in my predictions. This is a truly epic live song. It just builds up until it explodes in glorious thunder!

I read in Rolling Stone that they're going to start playing their new stuff live in August.. Why would they wait til August? Does that mean no new stuff at Bonnaroo???
I've seen them a couple of times, I'd love if they play it makes no difference. I haven't seen them play it live. It would be worth the whole 270 for me.
What do we think the chances are of getting a Carl Broemel solo set? He'd make a fantastic cafe add. His set is great. Want.
I kind of figured as soon as MMJ was announced that Carl would have a solo set. Guess we will find out later this week. Could be a lot more MMJ than just the 2 hours on friday. They could do a show or two with those crazy muppets and a Carl show would probably bring out one or two of the boys. Or I could just be a hopelessly optimistic MMJ fan...
