Kind of Surprised that 'Friends Again' isn't on the album. They wrote that when they were planning on doing shows with the Muppets. Maybe it doesn't fit the motif of the new album. Can't wait for Circuital to be released.
Congrats on the front row tickets!! In 2008 we had front row and dead centre for the show in Seattle. It's so nice to not have to fight to be front and centre in the pit, you just walk on down and get your face melted!

Anyone know why so many albums are short? In terms of the number of tracks?
I feel like so many recent albums are like 11 tracks or less. Is there any reason behind that? I know it used to be so you could fit the album on one record but nowadays there's tons of space. I'm not saying bands should just try and fill up 80 minutes just because they can....but I sometimes (selfishly) wish bands would put like 14 or 15 tracks together.

Looks like the band decided to address the accusations/complaints about them ripping off a song:
The inspiration behind “Holdin On To Black Metal” comes from the song “E-Saew Tam Punha Huajai” by Kwan Jai & Kwan Jit Sriprajan that has been respectfully acknowledged and credited in the Circuital liner notes. The song appears on the amazing Siamese Soul: Thai Spectacular 1960s-80s Volume 2 compilation that is available to pick up here (and highly recommended): tinyurl.com/67se586

Either way........excited for the new release.
Isn't circuital the track around 7 minutes?
I could see this being a 50 minute album still. That's a longer album comparatively.

I understand that. I'm just curious about the trend in general.....not specifically this release.
I notice that as well ITM. Then you get a band like the National who re-release the album with more tunes (High Violet) That frustrates me because I always buy the CD then I want another copy so I can have the new stuff on hard copy.
Ya im very excited. From what i saw over on the MMJ board the pre-sale had pockets of seats all over the theater so we were super lucky to get such great seats.

Oh, I know! I checked out their forum, too, and there were people back in row NN. We got ridiculously lucky.

So, is this really pronounced sir-kyoo-it-uhl like in that video announcing the album release show in L'ville? Because I always thought the word "circuital" was pronounced sir-kit-uhl.
I heard it pronounced sir-kyoo-it-uhl on NPR and thought the guy was an idiot, and then it was in the video too. Not sure what to think. From the comedic tone if the vid he could've been messing around but I don't think so.
