I was in left pit for this show as well, just a couple rows back. It was great. Best set of the weekend, I think. It was just one of those sets that you couldn't fathom ending, it felt like it should have gone on forever.
Here is my video from the pit of Steam Machine, got some great glowstick war footage. Had to stop recording early after one of the bouncers saw my camera at the end of the song.

Great set, amazing show as usual. I really thought they'd switch it up a bit more for Bonnaroo but both MMJ and AF stayed the course. We were in the pit line for AF after a couple of MMJ songs and I don't regret it at all. I saw and heard the MMJ set very well and we were very close for AF even though the pit line was insanely pushy and people were trying to cut. I have to disagree wholeheartedly with aintnoencore on the AF set being half as good as MMJ, maybe for you personally but I think most of the people on that field were going balls out for AF and would disagree with that statement as well. Anyways, I've got both sets and will enjoy the shit out of them.
Easily my favorite show of the weekend and top 3 or so out of the 7 Bonnaroos I have been to. We were in the left side pit and it was a blast. Steam Engine was the highlight for me as well.
I can't believe I was in the pit next to all of you and had no idea.
This was my #1 show this weekend. I was with two people who don't really listen to MMJ and had never seen them, and had grown tired of my "YOU HAVE TO SEE THEM!" nonsense.
After the show they both turned and thanked me for "forcing" them to go to MMJ.

Nodepression, Zapp, Karosko, myself and other inforoosters got pit for both MMJ and AF. So it was definitely possible.

MMJ brought the face-meltin' rock show that I knew they would!
Although I think I need to stop drinkin' at there shows. Just like in 2008 I had a few too many beers and they ended up on the ground along with some food from earlier in the day. At least I didn't have the wicked awful hangover I did back in '08.

Naw, I meant that I thought only half of MMJ's show (cause that's all I saw) was better than the whole AF, not that AF was only half as good. AF was a show I'll never forget and definitely one of my favorites ever at bonnaroo.
I just now watched the Arcade Fire show on youtube, which is great quality btw, and realized I was definitely tripping out really bad during their show. I made some comparisons between MMJ and AF previously in this space but feel really bad about it now because I clearly misunderstood some things he said during the show and couldn't even really see the screen or the right side of the stage cause of my spot in the pit. I can't wait to see both these bands again and am glad that after seeing the roo show online I feel much better about Arcade's Fire connection with Bonnaroo. The last half of this show especially was incredible.

You guys are lucky, MMJ easily put on the best set of the weekend. Getting into the pit for both sets would have been easy but there's no way she would have made it through the LN sets after standing for both of those shows so I dunno. What's a guy to do?!
MMJ was the best show at Roo easily. Probably one of the best shows I've ever seen too. I am a big AF fan and they were a huge disappointment, i thought it was horrible, but I feel sorry for them having to follow MMJ cause that show was just insane

I would have done the pit for Arcade Fire since I was with that group, but I really, really wanted to camp out for a good spot for The Black Angels. Don't regret that a bit.

I have seen AF twice before and they usually put on a great show but they were just boring this time. Also, I really realllllly hate the Suburbs album so that played into my judgement of the show as well..
