BBC called this album better than Ok Computer. Totally not true, however, I just concluded this album, and all I can say is WOOOOOOOOOOOOWZAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
this album was def more similar to neon bible than funeral. i like it, but not as much i guess as i have always loved funeral. i think it will take another week or so for me to fully embrace it.
favorite tracks: deep blue, rococo, half light II (no celebration)\

it's definitely growing on me the more i listen to it, but it would be a lot better if it were 4-6 songs and about 15-20 minutes shorter. it seems like there's a bit too much "filler" material
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

I think that by the time the album is released to continuing rave reviews and following their own headlining tour this Fall/Winter that it will be entirely possible that they could hold down Friday night or at the very least split headline Friday with someone equally big. And they would be deserving of this honor.
Having seen them live a few times already I can tell anyone who hasn't seen them that they are stellar live and are a great festival band. Personally I would say that they belong more in a Which LN slot than as a headliner but that's just personal preference.
As far as The Suburbs goes, after 3 full listens I am not immediately blown away in the manner that I was by Funeral and Neon Bible. With the exception of The Suburbs, Empty Room, and Suburban War, most of the album just seems like a retread or continuation of what they have already done. Maybe it will grow on me in time but for right now its not this generations OK Computer or whatever it is the BBC has said about it.

BBC said it was better than OK Computer. Are we really so sure this album is going to get rave reviews? Did I somehow get a boring copy of a great album?
Yeah, I think if expectations of another Funeral are going to become the norm with AF fans, then don't be surprised to see the fans get agitated with the band. Just like how Mars Volta fans got pissed at the band for not coming out with another De-Loused In The Comatorium.
