Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I always enjoyed reading his posts and he seemed like a geniunely good person. Way too young for something so senseless....it just reminds us how fragile life is, and not to take even one moment for granted. How ironic that his inforoo moniker was "carpedm"...in his honor let us vow to seize each day.
more than anything else this makes me feel awful that I couldn't find the brunch
As Gratefuled said, being cpr certified is a good idea for anyone. I'm a nurse and AHA CPR instructor and I carry a mask with me in my backpack. I've never had to use it, but it's there if I need it. Knowing what to do in an emergency is empowering.
I never met Matt, but he sounds like a great person. May he rest in peace. The medical person in me wonders how this could have happened to an experienced roo-er. Just tragic.

This is just horrible news. He and I had recently talked about meeting up for DMB Sunday. So much love sent for his friends and family. The world is a slight bit dimmer now. Take care of one another, guys.
I'm a long time lurker, so obviously I don't know him IRL or online.
When I saw his avatar/post I knew it was coming from someone with a lot of passion for music and life in general. I've gotten plenty of good music and band suggestions from him over the years.
He started the thread about the water bobbles. He inspired me to order one!! I can't believe this has happened! RIP Matt our thought are with your friends and family.
My phone died this weekend, so I didn't find out until yesterday morning when I arrived home and charged my phone. I was (and still am) devastated. We were supposed to meet up on Friday night for Daryl Hall & Chromeo but since my phone died it never happened. What's even more sad is once my phone was charged, I listened to my voicemails, and I had one from Matt. I don't want to delete it....
I agree with Bamadancer... Inforoosters have become family to me. I had the best Bonnaroo I've ever had thanks in part to the people I've met as a part of this forum. Whether we've met or not, we are all connected thanks to Bonnaroo and Inforoo and I am grateful for you all.
RIP Matt... who is now a part of the Everlasting Bonnaroo.
I own two pair of Sanuks thanks to him. Certainly sorry to hear about his passing and hope that his family is able to find some peace in the coming days.

My sympathies to all of his family members and friends.
I didn't know him, as I mean to go to the Inforoo brunch every year but have not yet made it to one, but I'm sure we've crossed paths on these boards at some point because it seems like everyone has. It sounds like he was a really great guy.
It's truly a shame that it had to end this way but at least he was in a happy place. Hopefully Bonnaroo lasts forever for Carpedm01.
Did this happen at the Lunar stage around 2 on Saturday night? I witnessed the emts giving someone CPR and was heartbroken and shaken for a long while. I am deeply saddened that someone lost their life at a place we love so much.
If anyone has any pics of Matt and me together at this years brunch or any other, can you please post them or send them to me?
Thanks!!
i am 99.9% certain someone took a picture of you, me, matt and maybe someone else (zoie?) at the brunch . it was def a female who took the picture, i think someone i didn't know.

I'm speechless. I showed up to the inforoo brunch on friday just for shits and giggles. I met him and we talked for awhile about our disagreements over Deadmau5 and neither of us took it seriously at all and it just made for a more fun and entertaining thread. He was a very warm and genuine person. This saddens me very much. This is the second time someone I knew has died at bonnaroo (the first was in 05 when a good friend of mine OD'd.)
A poster by the name of Rosemont/Scooper on the coachella board said that anyone who complains about bonnaroo being too hot is a wimp ... yea, hopefully he gets banned.
I really feel for his family and close friends. RIP David.

I think my friend who went with me got a pic of you three, and a little of me under the ezup.

I went through some of the Best Shoes thread yesterday and I think within the first 7 pages over 2 dozen people had bought Sanuks because of Matt's promotion and word of mouth. I am willing to bet over a hundred people bought them because of him in the past two years. I myself own 3 pairs.
I decided to send an email to the people at Sanuk and let them know know how Matt was our Sanuk crusader and they have offered to send something to his memorial. I don't really have much info to give them, could someone message me who knows him better and has access to his facebook page and memorial info. I will forward you the email from the girl at Sanuks.
Still at a loss for words regarding Matt. His presence will be greatly missed by many people.

I think you are right Jesse. I remember "L" taking a lot of pics that morning.
