Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
THUR Which: The Knife [LN](Small enough following in North America, not to be considered a true "headliner") FRI What: Radiohead LN Daft Punk Which: Wilco LN String Cheese SAT What: Outkast LN Phish Which:Arcade Fire LN Portishead
At least Queen with AL would show up. Aretha Franklin would be a guaranteed no-show. My biggest issue would be Cheep Trick. If anyone is going to cover a full Beatles album it should be a good band. Preferably the Fab Faux.
Cheap Trick isn't a good band? That's an unusual assessment. I don't think it's out of the question that they'd appear. Plus, they've been doing the Sgt. Pepper's album performances for about a year now.
Nolan, are you thinking that they are going to have 4 big Late Nights for the tenth anni? I would love to see that but I really don't think so.
The Knife on Thursday evening would be phenomenal though if Roo could book them I would think they would be a tent LN on Fri or Sat.
Some of these picks were purely self interest picks. Is string cheese big enough to take a headliner spot at roo? I personally don't think so. Portishead and Daft Punk did not play the headlining spot on the main stage at coachella, so that is my justification for their spots. Again, the knife on a thursday is a huge stretch, but you ask 70,000 people this year if they have heard of the knife, I doubt 50% have. Phish late night is the only true headliner not in a headliner spot, in my opinion.

Citing the fact they were one of the 5 U.S. Dates for Sigur Ros in 08, I don't see how you could say never. I agree highly unlikely and about a 5% chance, but they have booked rare acts before and if the knife were looking for summer tour dates in the U.S., it is possible.
Coachella is the most likely festival, but being they have played 3 North American dates, ever. There is little evidence to say Bonnaroo couldn't book them.

Fever Ray is probably more likely, right? Does she/they tour? I'd rather have The Knife, but I'd take Fever Ray.
Fever Ray is suppose to play a few dates in Europe then be done for a while. Karen has said she will be working on a new project with her brother in the coming months.
I guess I shouldn't ever say never, it's just the Knife doesn't have the extensive touring history Sigur Ros have had. They've barely played shows, let alone American shows in their entire career. If they were to play an American festival, it probably wouldn't be Bonnaroo, it would be Coachella, or something indoors like ATP so they could control their intricate live setup.

It was a total dream/bias pick. I agree and am not holding my breath.
I disagree; their last festival only drew 30k-50k.
A fun closer of "Golgi Apparatus" didn't have the typical kick at the refrain, "I saw you with a ticket stub in your hand!," because attendance seems slightly less than anticipated. Perhaps 30-50 thousand people as opposed to the 70 or 80 that the Polo Fields are capable of holding.
Prince • Radiohead • Phish • Neil Young • Daft Punk • Widespread Panic • Outkast The Allman Brothers Band • My Morning Jacket • The String Cheese Incident • Arcade Fire
The build up to 2009, all that could be heard were the Phish die-hards screaming they will never play bonnaroo. If anything they will do there own festival, but they will never play bonnaroo. I don't think next year will be the year, but Phish will be back.
Saturday - Paul McCartney Rage Against The Machine (LN)
Sunday - My Morning Jacket Pre-Headliner: Neil Young w/special guest Eddie Vedder Naturally, Neil and Eddie stick around with MMJ to perform possibly the best version of Rockin in the Free World, in the history of the free world

And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
