??? I guess I just don't understand what is so suspicious about Mike's vote and the fact that everyone is voting for him makes me even more suspicious about him being built up to be suspicious and that is especially suspicious! lol
I mean, it is too easy of a target for the mafia to pick him off first round... it's his first game so he doesn't have a usual first round vote buddy like some of us. We are always scaremongering for a few players to get a game started and when get a new one and you guys want to kill him off first round?
Geez.... give him a reason to come back and play why don't you? I mean the boy loves the arcade, if you let him play he will come back.
And let me go ahead and say NO I am not mafia and NO we are not working together, I think you all know better than that.
The suspicious thing is he voted for somebody that already had a vote, but it is true that the fact this is his first time makes this less suspicious than it would otherwise be (hence my first vote for Lawn).

Allow me to explain how that rule came about, Mike. It's not as evil as you might think. I was a Townsperson during the game that inspired that rule.
Once upon a time, way back in Mafia 14 or 15 I believe, Bek was Referee and sent out role PMs with a mistake - a batch of Bek's PMs misspelled the word "Townsperson" in telling Townspeople their role. Townsperson kdogg publicly pointed out this error a few rounds into the game, which served the dual purposes of proving his innocence to other Townspeople who'd received the erroneous message... and making Ref Bek look foolish. At one point, I temporarily changed my password and posted it in the thread. Higgi didn't believe me, I had nothing to hide, and I was willing to let him see my misspelled role PM himself. Bek wasn't having it, and I did a voluntary cease-and-desist and re-changed my password before he could log in to my account.
I technically didn't break any existing rules at the time... I just did some artful rule-dodging through uncharted gray areas. Some people (and a Referee) got all butthurt about it, and between games a new rule was created. It bears my name because my maneuvering that game was so freakin' awesome.
I didn't actually write that rule, either. Whoever did that capitalized kdogg and made PMs possessive. I do not approve.

so wolf and mike, give your best arguments and hopefully someone else will step up and change their vote.
We already have about half of the total group voting for me. A new guy comes into town and everyone is scared so we have to kill him off. The regulars don't know how to read my BS (if I even have any in the first place) so they vote for me. People are claiming that my first vote was suspicious. I really would like to know why. Are they sticking up for their inforoo buddy or, more feasibly, did I take a wild stab in the dark on my first vote and vote for someone who has some friends that have their back to make sure that survive. . .a mafia if you will. Superbek recruited me to play this game and seeing how I have no real idea how this plays on a day to day basis, why wouldn't I take into consideration her vote and who voted for her AS THE FIRST VOTE OF THE GAME. Seems kinda shady to me. The seventh vote of the game is suspiciously fast for someone to vote?? Look at wolf, voted right before me and is already running scared by telling us "I'm not liking what is already going on" And you guys are really telling me I am the suspicious one here, I think not. Lets all take a good look at what has already happened and rethink things a little bit to see what is really going on.

What you're calling shady here is perfectly normal to those of us who've played a few games. I really don't appreciate how you're trying to point fingers at me over that.
The relevant factor in my decision is: you voted for me first. It's as simple as that. Are you really telling me I'm suspicious because I... 1. voted for my regular voting partner, and 2. voted for another player who voted for me first? I'm sorry, but that's just plain BS.

While pulling into the site, awolfatthedoor's car got singled out for a search. He decided to sit off to the side and wait while the volunteers went through his car. Unfortunately, he didn't notice that he was sitting right in the lane of traffic, and he got run over by a VW Van.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, just stating my observations and my reason for voting for who I did, just like you did in your above post. Yes I am the new guy, we all know this. I did not realize that people pair off and vote for each other, I don't have that special someone in my life to do that; If there are any other little quirks that "those of us who've played a few games" have and I need to know about before I vote next time around, by all means let me know. I haven't played before (so that got me a few automatic votes) and everyone is acting shady as hell to me and those of us who do not play the game regularly. All I have to go off is whatever is in the first post of this thread. I was asked to try to save myself and I did that. I have to roll with the punches to figure out not only a strategy to the game, but also how to detect other peoples' BS. If there is a mafia for noobs I need to know about, I will join that one, but til then I am going to to do what I can to enjoy this game.
