sorry...it's been awhile since i've been here...hope everyone enjoyed their roo 2010!!! i had a pretty good time, the music lineup wasn't the best but i saw some great shows (saw a lot more in 2009)...
i'm actually feeling a little burnt out and tired of bonnaroo...at this point, i'm not sure if i'll return...i'm sure i'll return to the farm again at somepoint, but will have to force my way through not just the heat, but what bonnaroo has become...

natedogg I have to agree with you in ways I have been to all 9 bonnaroos and I fell in love and it got better and worse in ways over the years and this past year the heat kicked my butt so much that i have been debating coming back this year. Plus I have seen so many concerts now at this point in my lifetime that most the shows at roo I have seen before and only a few of them actually stimulate me anymore with excitement most the artists i have seen 6-8 times and i know what trick is up there sleeve or where the jam is going to go that I just dont get into it much anymore.

I agree with in one aspect but not in others I really believe that if you want to be a devoted music fan in this day in age where music is free for all those with an internet account and a hardrive it is important to partake in the physical aspect of seeing shows and seeing bands thrive and decline it's really an interesting study if you look hard enough not to mention the new people that go every year and inject new life into the festival don't get me wrong I love the people who go every year I've gone the last three years for instance because they truly love roo but there's nothing that beats seeing a first timers eyes light up on Thursday night.

The Run-on Sentence is a commonly used literary device, in some cases going so far as to take up very large spaces the amount of a whole paragraph, continuing on for a very long while without any sign of a exclamation point, question mark, or even a simple period to close it off and begin a new sentence, usually containing a large mass of commas and occasionally semicolons in their places, and going very far on beyond any point of real usefulness, and then some, continuing much further than needed, which is like this entire introductory paragraph for the reason that there are no full stops, (known as periods to some people) in this entire sentence—this being, of course, for the sole purpose of making this sentence long enough to be in extremely bad taste and seem like it is never going to end, which, of course, is almost true, because even though this sentence has not stopped yet it is very likely to stop in the future, for even a run-on sentence such as this one is not very likely to have an infinite number of words, although it can have such a large amount of words that nobody in their right mind would actually want to read the entire thing, unless they found it comical or interesting, for the simple reason that it is very, very long, long enough, in fact, to take up the entire page when written in a reasonably large font, its length being its sole claim to fame, for the reason that sentences do not normally go on to such a length; while run-on sentences can be as long as this one, or even longer, without any sign of stopping, and in complete absence of the kind of punctuation that would usually end every sentence, because one of the most fundamental rules of proper sentence structure, namely that sentences have to be of a reasonable length and have a coherent structure, is being completely ignored in run-on sentences, which is the reason why most teachers forbid run-on sentences in essays and papers, as they are disruptive and confusing, and even a single run-on sentence can be so long as to make the essay much longer than it would normally be, without adding any content, because almost all run-on sentences lose focus after a point and just become a sequence of random ramblings, which, because they lack proper termination, can last for a very long period of time, but as said above, all run-on sentences must eventually end because they cannot have an infinite number of words, though the longer they get, the less effort needs to be put into them and at this point I could probably say anything I want and nobody in their right mind would actually read far enough to tell that I am getting completely off topic and should probably stop now, but I won't, the reason being that this being a run-on sentence it is not entirely necessary for me to be on topic or even remotely related to whatever I said to begin with; a run-on sentence in its entirety can be one insanely long piece of work, however usually they are created by mistakes by some student who understands nothing of the beauty of the English language and its grammatical tenets.

I guess I just have a bad habit at run on sentences. I'm a stream of thought writer and just type as I go without regard to proper diction. Anyways I'm burnt out on shows. I volunteer for headcount and am a team leader in atlanta for the last year and half I have been getting to see all the shows I love to see for free. This has been a major blessing but then its starting to turn on me. I go to 4-6 shows a month and I'm getting less excited each time unless its a show that has a stellar live visual interactive production. Right now the only bands that stimulate me are Ghostland Observatory, MMJ, Black Keys, Radiohead, Phish. Everything else is getting weak with me. I just saw Roger Waters the wall and that was epic but thats a once every 5 years kind of show or production. My job keeps me from being able to travel on weekends for shows anymore. I'm debating going to see Lady Gaga because I need a new show and am intrigued by her production. I guess I'm just getting old, I'm only 26! Im completely sober 99% of the time at shows and most of my personal life my job does random tests and I can't risk losing my income to go have fun.

whats up everyone?!
i'm back, feeling revived and have never been more excited for bonnaroo. i know earlier i said i may not be attending again, and even though theres a few little things about bonnaroo i don't like and can't change, i have learned that the physical and emotional toll you go thru is very well worth it. i've only experienced 4 bonnaroo's and without that i'm positive my life would be a little less empty.
i've been putting together a big list of bands i hope/think could play but i'm not so sure i'll be putting in as much time as in years past. i will say that i since i took an inforoo hiatus, i have enjoyed the come back and seeing everyone else's lists.
