What you don't pay for with cash with Greyhound you pay for with the pain and miseray that is a Greyhound ride.
Shhh Matt, were trying to get him there!
My bad. I'll make amends.
Greyhound rides are the best! You can totally go to sleep in the back and not worry about getting robbed or molested, your seat won't stink, and it won't take 3-4 times longer than a car ride would. See you there!!

I hadn't been planning on it, but the lineup is entcing. I'll wait to pass judgement until the full thing drops. I'd like to see Big Boi. Where are you from Zapp?
Sweet. I'll drive. Already reserved a room with 2 queens 10/28-11/01 for $200 total. Just waiting on those tickets to go on sale and I'm in there like swimwear.

Hell yeah dude make it happen. I'm from Lawrenceville, about 40 miles north of Atlanta. I was jeffp1717 for a while there and we talked about our love for the Hawks.

Dude, don't go changing names on me. I'm not that smart.

Yeah I am 'bout an hour away also. I am def going at least one day. I got the lowdown from a resident ashe-villian yesterday, the tickets will be one day and three day passes. They are going to go quick, because it's all asheville is talking about, (if that pretty lights rumor is true, they will go even faster.) Thomas Wolfe is a different place venue than the civic center but within walking distance. Also Moog is building a Moog store in Asheville. That's all he had for me, for now.
My bday is the 27th! So I am pumped at the prospect of getting to go! The weather is usually cool, not cold by then. The ride into Asheville is something else. From any direction the mountains are really nice year round and I am warning you, once you have been there, you'll want to come back.
I checked out A-villes annual street festy this past weekend. I found a bar to add to my favorites of Asheville. Flying Frog Cafe has a wall of fruit infused liquor and is worth checking out....Go there have the Strawberry Tequila shot! Two others; TallGary's(formerly college st pub) has a seperate pool room and karaoke at night ( I have been known to drink beers there pretty often), and Carmels is an upscale kind of place but has "ninja porter" literally one of the best beers I have ever drank. These are some good places to snatch a beer if you get a little time. I would also check out the "Thirsty Monk" for some really good priced beers. Also "Toubab Brew" is being served around Asheville, it's pretty good.
someone told me daft punk is headlining. that's why the announcement was delayed. also thomas wolfe is inside the civic center or they are attached, but it is separate venues.

Don't you try and change my decision to go with this Daft Punk bullish.

Me and some friends are seriously contemplating going to this. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us for the August 10th announcements. If all goes as planned, my friend will be moving down there in Sept or so and I wont even have to worry about gettin a hotel! yay!

I really hope this is cheap enough or me to go to--I've found myself in a financial rut of late, but Thievery Corporation is what got me into electronic music, and I live 30 minutes down the road from Asheville.
massive attack and thievery corp are touring together. they are playing at the civic center on the 30th. so there is going to be another headliner on sun. mgmt is fri.

I'm waiting to see what a few other people decide to do, but this is looking more likely for me and Voodoo, less likely. It would be nice to have some idea about ticket prices and I'll have to figure out some affordable accomadations.
Motel 6 is where the party's at Dale. I'll be getting my ticket the day they go on sale. It's either this or Bear Creek for me this fall, and Bear Creek has no Massive Attack.
Edit: Zach Deputy is playing the Emerald Lounge in Asheville on Halloween. I don't know if it's part of MoogFest, but I assume it is.

So I can't really bank on my friend moving down to Asheville, so... I'm trying to think if a cheap hotel is good or a vacation rental (maybe even with a hot tub?) Hmm... decisions decisions!
Could get a house thats walking distance or a pretty cabin out in the mountains 10 minutes or so away. So much to choose from, and SO pretty down there! I'm excited!

I am still waiting on the line-up, but me and another inforooster has already looked into a cabin. We found one with 3 bedrooms for $400 for 3 nights.
