I'm not sure yet. We're looking at a few cheap places right outside Asheville, but my girlfriend is good friends with a well-off elderly couple that lives in the mountains in a huge, beautiful house with a bunch of extra rooms, so we might try to find a way to stay there without inviting ourselves What about you?
What are the chances any of you guys want to make a change of plans and find some campgrounds nearby and turn this thing into a camping fest?
I would be down for this, but my girlfriend is coming with, and she does not like camping whatsoever haha
Booked my hotel last night, staying at a Days Inn in Candler. The aforementioned Motel 6 had jumped up to $60 a night and this one was $50 and is only 15 minutes from ACC (according to Mapquest).
"What are the chances any of you guys want to make a change of plans and find some campgrounds nearby and turn this thing into a camping fest?" That's my plans! Also I would as well like to hear about everyone's halloween costumes. I'm reprising spider-man for Moogfest, just like at Bonnaroo for any of you who may have saw me there. Really, really excited about this festival and hope they have a few more big suprises like STS9 or (pushin my luck maybe)...Shpongle? Here's my quick, as of now top 10: 1: Pretty Lights 2: Devo 3: Dan Deacon 4: Thievery Corporation 5: Mgmt 6: Massive Attack 7: Mimosa 8: rjd2 9: Jonsi 10: Girl Talk Disco Biscuits would probably make it on there instead of Girl Talk but I'm seeing them Wednesday in Lexington and have seen them a lot. Subject to change due to additions and conflicts.
I'd been talking about the festival with my wife with no real intent to go. She made hotel reservations and purchased tickets for both of us. She did this in the middle of the night without my knowledge. Then she woke me up to tell me. I was pretty upset at first, since we really don't have the money. Then, I thought she really did this for me, and it was the sweetest gesture. She only knows Devo. We saw them years ago at the 9:30 in D.C.

I'm still not sure on if these are bigger acts (or act) for ACC or Orange Peel, or if we are stuck with Pretty Lights as our underwhelming Halloween headliner.
