Just noticed on Jambase that The Disco Biscuits are actually playing two shows on the 30th, one for Moogfest, and one opening for String Cheese in Hampton. I am thinking this means they'll have a late night set for Moogfest. They are playing in Hampton the night before as well, so they'd have to go back and forth between Hampton and Asheville that day (if they played earlier for Moogfest. Seems ideal to open for Cheese, then book it down to Asheville to play all night for us). We shall see how that one plays out. After the little tease I got this weekend, I really want to see them in a club, so they jumped up in priority. Unless of course, it's during something rare.

He said specifically that Halloween night will be "off the hook," so hopefully they have something really awesome up their sleeves for Sunday. I'd imagine they have to to get away with charging the same for individual Sunday tix as Friday and Saturday.

I just learned today that "moog" was pronounced like "moge" with the o sounding like it does road. This was really strange to me, because I ALWAYS thought it was "mooooog" like the oo's pronounced in "boo."
Also, this from their facebook: "We must be...craaaaazzeeeee! Sunday night is going to be insane, folks. Stay tuned."
People speculating that means Gnarls Barkley, which would be pretty cool, but I don't think so. Excited to see who it is, though.
Maybe...I'd almost rather have a solo Cee-Lo set (depending on who his band is) just to hear "Fuck You."
I'm gonna scream if it's Cee-Lo. I'm really looking forward to that new album. Fuck You would be the preverbial icing but I'm really into No One Will Ever Love You, cliché I know ... But I'm full of those these days.

Underwhelming isn't the right word. Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse by themselves are both pretty big draws, so Gnarls Barkley together would get a lot of people really excited.
I can understand why you'd be disappointed if it is indeed Gnarls or Cee-Lo, though. While I like St. Elsewhere (never heard The Odd Couple, but the little bit I heard didn't impress me too much), some of the other names being thrown out there were more exciting.
Also, stop what you're doing and immediately go listen to Cee-Lo's new single, "Fuck You." It's not as gimmicky as the song title implies; it's a fantastic single.
That song is sick. Don't know why I waited until now to listen to it. Hopefully they drop something on us at noon. All those people on Facebook pleading for Shpongle kind of have me wanting the same...
