juggs, that is why i am going this year. i've gone to bonnaroo the past three years and just want to try something different. coupled with the fact i get that we get that friday off from school for fiesta, so i don't have to feel that bad for taking a few more days off from work.
while i'll never complain about the music i've seen at bonnaroo, coachella is more my style music wise. i'll admit it, i'm not huge into jam. as far as weather goes, i think as long as it stays below 90F, i'll be happy as a clam. it is already that hot here in texas. i've heard it isn't even that bad b/c it is dry heat.
cks, i am so glad you got your ticket, i've heard stories of people getting their ticket boxes returned to sender etc.
nolan i would obviously say you could stay with us. but myself and a friend are already hitching a ride with other people and squeezing in with them in their spot, so it isn't really mine to share. i bet if you wait last minute people will be getting rid of them, maybe in the city you fly into.

i am ready!! it is going to be fun.
Thanks anyways! Good news is, I worked it out with everyone and will over night their passes tomorrow.
To everyone going, enjoy! What I experienced last year was nothing sort of amazing and will be with me the rest of my days! I'm returning in 2012 to hopefully Radiohead/Daft Punk/The Knife. A guy can dream.
it is kind of setting in! can't believe we will be @ coachella in just a few days.
i must admit, i'm not fond of the fact that through wed the high is 83F and then it shoots up to 96F+ on the wknd. c'est la vie. that will definitely not ruin the fun times to be had!
While it did not get up to 96 last year, there was one day it was in the 90s. The heat has next to no humidity. Honestly you will notice the difference, it's not bad at all.

Also, this time last year I was super nervous about going out to the fest. This year I'm nervous about getting fillings Wednesday and having to contact a neighbors coworker about a job after graduation.

I lived out in Phoenix for a year and it's crazy how large the temp swing can get in the desert. It can make the cool feel cold, especially if you have a sunburn.
I'd like to add an underscore to Phantogram. Also, Tame Impala, Nosaj Thing, and The Love Language. My high school self would recommend Moving Units, but I haven't listened to them in years.
yeah, it is already that hot here in texas, so i guess i can't complain too much. i was looking forward to high 80's though.
are there any smaller bands on the lineup that you guys would recommend seeing that most people might not know about?
The Felice Brothers, Brandt Brauer and Fricke, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears are all pretty low on the lineup and all sound great to me. I think they are all Coachella only bands as far as the big festivals go.
I saw that paste article. Defintely interested in some of those. I didn't even notice that Delorean was going to be there. I saw them at funfunfun fest last november and they were great.

That is pretty weak but in a way I'm excited about figuring it all out last minute. It looks like I'm getting on a plane Wednesday with no idea who I'll be seeing most days. Pretty cool stuff.
Every time I feel bad about not going to Coachella I see that everyone plays for 30-45 minutes and feel better about it. That being said have fun guys looks like a great weekend.
