We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Who in the hell is the blonde doing the interviews? She farking sucks. Jeez....I mean it is absolutely embarrassing to even listen to her. She could quite possibly be the worst interviewer I've ever seen.

....and they have her every year. I don't understand it. Her first question (?) to Yelle: "So tell me about your music". I work at a college radio station and many of my fellow DJ's give better interviews than her. She never knows shit about anyone she's interviewing

I'm pretty sure they have her back every year because she is hilariously terrible. Though at times it does get a bit awkward.
Also, Arcade Fire! Holy Leno! Best band in the world.

Man I'm so pissed I missed AF. Reading everything here and on Arcade Fire forums makes me really excited to see YouTube footage from some random fans, sounded pretty incredible.
Text I just got from a friend who lives in Cali who's there: "Dude i was front and center for arcade fire and animal collective. I got hit by balls check the vid of arcade fire."
It's times like these I wish I had unlimited amounts of money.
In a day packed with indie, indie, indie, Arcade Fire showed why they are the kings. I was bananas and those glowing balls made sure I stayed that way. Lol
The Joy Formidable was killer, I've been hooked for months and their performance reaffirmed why.
Honorable mention: elbow, cults, two door cinema club
I was dissapointed with freelance whales, hopefully they get their sh!t together before bonnaroo. Maybe their tour with foals (who are typically beasts on stage) will make them want to do just that.
Well the last day is already here unfortunately. See you guys on the other side. Kanye west! Nuff said!!!

Yea Freelance Whales didn't sound too tight on the Webcast. Black Joe sounded great though.
And yeah anyone who has seen Arcade Fire before knows the absolute crushing Bonnaroo has in store.
I was lucky enough to catch AF during their outdoor set at my first Coachella in 2005. That performance will always be my numero uno.
You're right Freelance Whales weren't tight at all. But at least their bass was in tune the entire set. That was the main reason Cee Lo was so pissed off (Other than failing to command an angry crowd after arriving late).
His bass player's "A" string was like an entire step lower. Why she didn't use a tuner or just do it by ear during or between songs was beyond me. His backing band was very amateur and it showed. I caught the first few minutes of "Don't Stop Believing" before they pulled the plug. So embarrassing and cheesy, pretty much sums up his entire set. Glad Roo didn't book him...

Saw some really good stuff yesterday on the webcast. Black Joe Lewis, Broken Social Scene, Empire of the Sun and Arcade Fire all put on great shows. I wish we were getting all 4 at Roo, but Lewis and AF will be great.

So, I just finished watching Mumford's set. Friggen incredible. I really love these guys, and they are going to blow the roof off of Bonnaroo. I've seen them live before and their energy/passion is astounding. Honestly, one of the best shows I've ever been too. The new songs sound really great too, I hope they get a longer set too at Bonnaroo. GO SEE THEM if you haven't, or even if you don't know any of their stuff.
As for The Swell Season, I'm waiting until someone posts their set on Youtube. I couldn't watch live since I was at work at last night, but Glen Hansard is probably my favorite songwriter of all time. I've seen Glen solo 3 times, The Swell Season 3 times, and The Frames 1 time. I think of anyone I've ever seen perform, he always puts on the best live shows. That is the ONE add that Bonnaroo could have made that would have made this festival skyrocket in my opinion.
I've caught some solid shows on the webcast so far(Two door cinema club, Cage the Elephant, Black Joe Lewis, Titus, Mumford, and Gogol were all awesome). Honourable mention to Ozmantli as well.

Damn Canadians .
Everyone should watch The National tonight. Incredibly tight live band, you'll be impressed.

I stopped by to see them at Roo and wasn't that impressed, walked off after a little while feeling bored. That was at Bonnaroo however when I was probably looking to dance or something. I will watch their set tonight and give them another shot.
So pissed that Kanye's set isn't going to be shown. BASTARDS.

I'm looking forward to streaming DFA1979, The National, and Ratatat tonight. Maybe catch some of the Mumford repeat after Ratatat. I wish the streaming was this good for every major festival.
