im not financially committed to roo yet, and my friends and i have considered skipping roo for coachella this year if the lineup is sick enough. that being said, theres no way that the top is what monklish has. he/she has:
Arcade Fire Beastie Boys-Neil Young
Kings of Leon Daft Punk-The Strokes
Kanye West Duran Duran-Interpol
PLUS The Chemical Brothers and Queens of the Stone Age
there is no way they get all those acts, because there is no way that any of what i just listed is less than a subheadliner. people on the coach boards claim Interpol wont be a subby, but they were the last time they played and i really dont see them dropping in position with a new album out. i almost guarantee they miss out on neil and at LEAST 1 of kanye/beasties/daft, probably 2. still looking to be pretty solid though. and if they DO get all 11 of those by some crazy stretch, i will probably have to go.

I read last night that KROQ hasn't even been promoting this and that DJ has kind of hinted that he was high when he sent that tweet and it wasn't serious, and that it might not be going down. Is that true? I could see KROQ not denying it so that everyone tunes in anyway.

Hmmmm...Now I am pretty concerned that Daft Punk will not be touring this year. We shall see. I was hoping a DP tour announcement would come around the time of the Coachella lineup announcement i.e. sometime this week, if not today.
That isn't the lineup. How are people tricked so easily be these fake posters?
The text and graphics at the top are so blurry/pixelated. Obviously Coachella wouldn't release that. Still, it helps that the coachella posters always look similar
was just chatting with Gonjasufi via Facebook, when i asked him if he was doing any of the festival circuit this summer he responded "possibly coachella and euro for sure"
Maybe I'm just being naïve, or underestimating Arcade Fire's popularity / overestimating Neil Young's popularity, but would Arcade Fire really be billed above Neil? Obviously the poster's fake so it's kind of a moot point - and both are clearly headliners at this point - but c'mon, Neil's a quacking legend.
Then again, Coachella has been known to have some head-scratchingly weird billing in the past (such as in 2009 with The Killers headlining Saturday and Paul McCartney headlining Friday... oooooookay )
Do I seriously need to explain this? Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
One is one of the two main songwriters of the single most successful band of all time in terms of both artistic influence and record sales, who has shaped the history of popular music over the past half-century to a simply unfathomable degree. The other is a generic-sounding MTV band less than a decade old with a few big radio hits.
