Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Here's all the acts I'd be really interested in for each day, bolding the ones I haven't seen:
Friday:
The Black Keys Interpol Robyn Crystal Castles Cee Lo Green Cut Copy Warpaint Tame Impala Nosaj Thing Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti !!! The POBPAH Omar R-L (since I haven't seen him before, curious) Klaxons Titus Andronicus (x 1000; really hope they are at Roo) OFWGKTA
Saturday:
Arcade Fire Animal Collective Bright Eyes Broken Social Scene Erykah Badu The Tallest Man on Earth The Radio Dept. Raphael Saadiq quacking WIRE Phosphorescent Gayngs
Sunday:
Kanye West The Strokes Duran Duran The National PJ Harvey Death From Above 1979 (note that I am not a diehard fan of any of the above 4, but I'd probably see all of em and be excited about it) Chromeo The Presets Leftfield OFF! Menomena
So, to me that's a pretty damn solid lineup. Also, it's nice to see Bishop/mothersky back on the boards in full force.
I think it's the worst lineup they've had in a while. The rare acts (that I care about) that make it worth it to travel across country just aren't there. Looks like I won't be taking my talents to Southern California again this year.
My thoughts exactly. I was hoping to make this my first Coachella, but I don't think I will now.
I'm unlikely to attend though it's a pretty solid lineup. I'm curious what the "big reunion nobody was even talking about" turned out to be? Big Audio Dynamite? I'm pretty thrilled to see their name on there. Also Wire is a good booking though it is very tiny on the poster. Maybe they are really cheap to book and if so Bonnaroo should get straight on that!
The "big reunion" is probably DFA 1979. Not a huge reunion, but definitely a notable one and possibly the only artist on the Coach lineup that surprised people a bit and is getting them talking.
FRI. Big Draws: black keys lauryn hill cee-lo warpaint tame impala omar rodriguez-lopez
others i would see: interpol cold war kids flogging molly ozomatli black joe lewis
SAT. (no real big draws, but lots of bands i would see) mumford & sons one day as a lion erykah badu gogol bordello swell season delta spirit tallest man on earth raphael saadiq gayngs felice brothers
bands i don't particularly like but i might see: arcade fire animal collective bright eyes broken social scene new pornographers
SUN Big Draws: duran duran PJ HARVEY death from above 1979
others: the strokes the national nas & damian marley jimmy eat world lightning bolt fistful of mercy

There's definitely some awesome undercards. As mentioned above, Death From Above is pretty cool. Personally, the big names are not so good in my opinion. Not saying they suck (other than Kanye), but just not my taste other than Kings Of Leon & I saw them twice last year, so I would rather it be someone else.
you guys are cray cray. i kind of love this line-up, despite kings of leon seeming to be the biggest thing since sliced bread now. i'd even be excited to see kanye since the new album (so sue me ).
there are a TON of smaller bands i would love to see. i have always gone to bonnaroo for the undercard, those people will be way less likely to make a tour appearance around me and usually headliners end up in texas at some point.
wow i just counted acts on the poster and compared it to last year. fri. has 58, there were 42 last year. sat. has 58, there were 45 last year and sun. has 55, there were 42 last year.

I think it's pretty solid and has 2 acts that are on my must see list, but I would rather visit my friends in California if I head in that direction this year. I am really hoping to see the Chemical Brothers and Arcade fire this year and I am doubtful that they will be on Bonnaroo's line-up.
I am hoping Nocturnal can pull the Chems and maybe Arcade fire at ACL. Right now, SXSW, Wakarusa and bonnaroo are in the plans. Still want to go to Coachella again at some point, just not this year.
Yeah, you'd have a tough time getting me to another fest with Kanye headlining, to begin with. Throw in KOL (still can't figure out how they became headliner material), and it seals the deal as a no-go for me.
Arcade Fire-- I love em, but are they really at the Saturday-night-headline/biggest-band-at-a-national-fest level? Kinda the same way I felt about Portishead a few years back, but then Coach added Prince. I'm guessing something similar has got to be in the works.

I wasn't too impressed with the lineup at first glance. After looking it at some more, it isn't too bad. But nothing I would travel across the country for.
This will be my first year Bonnaroo after going to Coachella the last 2 and I'm kinda pissed now after seeing Coachellas lineup. The thing I dreaded the most was the lack of electronis music at Bonnaroo but after last years less than spectacular Coachella EDM acts I figured I'd give it a shot. Then they go and book Robyn, The Presets, Chemical Brothers LIVE, Sasha, Boyz Noise, Empire of the Sun, The Presets, Bloody Beetroots, and Duck Sauce.
Anyone thing Bonnaroo will have a larger selection of electronic music this year or will it still be the token 1 or 2 late nights?
Bonnaroo is never going to book as many electronic bands as Coachella. I'm sure there will be a handful of legit electronic stuff, though. For what it's worth, I've been to both fests, and Bonnaroo is 10x more fun than Coachella. You won't be disappointed.

i've always wanted to go to Coachella just for the experience of another festival. But somehow they always seem to come out with a lineup that's half full of bands i'd love to see, and half full of bands i'd go out of my way to avoid. i just can't spend that much money on a festival like that.
however, if any of you are reggae fans, i urge you to check out Fat Freddy's Drop. they're a badass reggae band out of New Zealand and are very rarely in the states.

So who's still thinking of going?
I'm waiting on the Roo lineup, but since some of my friends are thinking of going, I might go back either way. It's a pretty solid lineup, and Arcade Fire is a big draw for me.

Did they already sell out of car camping passes again??? This happened last year and it was a sheet-show. I ended up spending $300 (we already had bought festival and plane tix, kinda had to) on what ended up being a fake pass! If anyone has details on this, please let me know.

I give this lineup a big fat MEH. Some very solid names up there but come on! Where is the substance??? The great thing about roo is that they book great LIVE bands...not just bands that are big at the moment. Some good music on that lineup but very few bands that I would be hyped to see live.
I'm unlikely to attend though it's a pretty solid lineup. I'm curious what the "big reunion nobody was even talking about" turned out to be? Big Audio Dynamite? I think you're right. I also think it's HUGE. I'm doubting they'll do much more beyond this.
Also, I was under the impression Swell Season was stepping back for a while.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

I still have faith 'roo will pull through. All my friends are now sold on coachella -__- I mean 10TH ANNIVERSARY. They have to have a badass lineup. Just have to.
well, lots of stuff on there ive either seen or would like to see... but nothing amazing.
nothing that says - dude, you need to get on a plane, dodge those motherfucking snakes, and get to indio!
im happy i went last year
btw, fwiw, ive seen titus andronicus - meh. shoegazing performance. my friend gave one of them a jolly rancher since we were in the front. eh... im surprised they have become so popular.
