If there is going to be a headlining "jam band" for the 10th Anniversary, Phish should be that band. I think we have all had enough WSP. Phish would be great. I would hope Phish over TAB, my only live experience with TAB was disappointing to say the least.
Their 09 Sunday set was enough for me for a lifetime, but I really don't care if they end up there or not as long as they have the Sunday night slot. That being said, when Bruce joined them that was an 09 highlight for me.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
phish sunday 09 was a religious experience for me. Amazing show. I hope to see them back on the farm
I felt the same way. There was no band that could have have owned a closing set like that. I was a casual fan who knew a few Phish songs going into Sunday night and left an absolute Phish fanatic. I'd welcome them back anytime.
Waiting for them to announce this as a rumor on COS... this and Radiohead.
We don't have anything yet either, other than some dudes mom on a train and a Coachella board person saying Gogol. FWIW there is no chatter on PT at all about Phish playing again, and my friend I saw at Harvest Fest who is pretty plugged in has not heard anything about it. In 08 I knew about 09 by September, and PT knew before Christmas. On the other hand Dirty Jerzee thinks it is at least a possibility, and he usually knows whats up.

I would totally be down to have Phish at bonnaroo again. I missed out on getting tix to their Halloween shows in AC and their NYE run in NY, unfortunately.
Yeah I'm way to broke to have even thought about goin to either of those. But I'm hopin to see a couple shows in the southeast next year and hopefully they're at roo

while phish in 2009 was one of my all time favorite bonnaroo shows, i feel the "appropriate 10th Anniversary jam-band" would be a form of The Dead/ Further. i only say this because between The Dead/ Phil Lesh/ Ratdog they have been at Roo every year except 2009 and 2010. i speculate this may have something to do with the kanye fiasco in 2008, but i have no real evidence to back that up.
having said that, i'd prefer a Further late-night stage with Phish headlining sunday.

After I said that, I thought about Further being more appropriate. I think Phish may have a wider fan base, not sure, but Further definitely has played more of a role in Bonnaroo over the years. I may actually prefer Further as a headliner because I have yet to see them, but I don't know if they would even want to anymore, Bonnaroo has definitely changed in recent years. Who knows, I doubt we will get both but you never know.
