VIP tickets bought! Has anybody on here done VIP? How was your experience? This is the first festival we will be doing VIP. Needless to say I am pumped.
DSO would really make this the ultimate lineup for me. I also hope for some non-electronic latenight options.
Also, I thought I read they had a disc golf course, but now i can't seem to find anything.

I have only done VIP at one festival, Mountain Jam last year, and let's just say I will be doing it again. There are so many advantages that make it worth the extra 200$. For me the biggest advantage is the reserved pit up front meaning for literally every show of the weekend you can show up 10 min before it starts and get rail or close to rail. The VIP lounge area is also great. Plenty of seating in the shade (or cover from rain) but the best part is they have free lunch and dinner everyday with something like sandwiches for lunch and pasta for dinner. Also there are free bottles of water and juice. As if that wasn't enough the VIP parking means that you could walk from the main stage to your car in about 5 min. On top of all of that you get a shirt and poster, better showers w/ no line, indoor bathrooms, prime camping area, and you don't have to wait in the giant security line on the first day. In other words great decision on getting VIP see you in the pit for MMJ!
and MMJ is playing at Roo a week later, so it's not like I'd be missing anything... barring schedule conflicts.
I'm tempted.
Oh man, you have to pull the trigger on this. Grace->MMJ will be worth the experience, even if you only see half of MMJ. PLUS Avetts, Hot Tuna, NMAS, aCharlie Hunter, and all the awesome bands also at Roo that you'll definitely be able to check out at MJ, thus removing some conflicts at Roo? Worth it.
I'm (finally!) graduating college this year and thus will be starting a new job which will limit my fest prospects this summer. However, Mountain Jam is absolutely happening. I am ready to jam this place out. Orgone? Toubab? Please get Rubblebucket on the mountain and I won't stop dancing for 4 days.

1. I need to be back home by about 10 pm Sunday. Which means I'd probably be leaving the fest at about 6:30 or so.
2. Bombfest is the week before, Bonnaroo the week after. Could I afford three festivals in three straight weekends?
3. I got a feeling I might have to go to work at some point that weekend. See #2 why I can't skip out.
4. I wonder how much of this lineup will end up at Vibes?

I'm under the impresson we have one more round of additions?
All of these other festivals making announcements is getting me excited. I don't see G. Love on any of them. Would be a nice add. "Fixin' to Die" is a great album.

Exciting news from Umphrey's McGee! They will have a special guest with them (to be announced on Thursday) at Mountain Jam this year, and they're giving away a Meet & Greet at the Festival!
Based on the lineup, I thought Mountain Jam this year looked really good, but not maybe not great - however, I think they did a fantastic job with the scheduling. For my tastes there are virtually no conflicts, but also no blocks of time when I'm not interested in anyone playing either. Have fun, everyone who's going! I will make it to this some year.
